Hasnain being rested today means he is almost certain to be on that flight.
Why is everyone thinking whoever is rested is on the plane? I think hasnain won't make it but hope I'm wrong

Yes he should. Always need a wildcard pick in the squad and he’s a good shout. Even if he doesn’t play it will be good for his development.
Last time a player was selected as a wildcard in the World Cup was Yasir Shah 2015, and we know how that turned out. Why waste time selecting him for "development" when we can have an actual experienced bowler in his place? The World Cup 15 should be the best of the best, not a training camp
Leggies mostly are not known for their consistency in oDIs in terms of economy. Yasser was no different. He is really a wicket taking bowler who is effective when the ball is old and the pitch is crumbling and you have fielded around the bat. You don’t get such conditions in ODIs.
Fast bowlers are different, especially if they are 150kph category. Shoaib In 99, Jimmy and bond in 2003, etc, etc.. all three were green and raw but brought pace to the World Cup and were pretty successful.

Short video, but is it me or doesn’t his run up already look smoother / faster?
Looked awful in that Australian series.
So pathetic we're selecting bowlers based on T20 leagues.
We all saw how awful Hasnain looked versus Australia.

He is not ready but I am ready to back him. Wouldn't pick him at Old Trafford or Headingley, I think he could do damage at The Oval.
We haven't a game at The Oval. The only place I see him playing is Headingley v Afghanistan, and that's only if we've qualified.
I don't think a World Cup should be a finishing school for developing cricketers but if they wanted one "X factor selection" then Haris Rauf seems readier.
Don't judge him on UAE pitches. Anyways the guy was rushing the Aussie batsmen for pace and was unlucky with a few dropped catches.
Few journos saying Sarfraz wants him for the World Cup. Lets see if Sarfraz can stamp his authority.
Clearly you lack an eye for talent.
An 18 year old inexperienced bowler who is bowling at brilliant pace on unhelpful pitches against a rampaging Australian top order, in his first matches at the international level - and you said he looked awful.
He was decent but more importantly screamed of great potential. And there are reports he has impressed everyone with his subsequent improvement in the training camp.
If he's being smashed in the UAE where the ball doesn't even come onto the bat properly, do you honestly think he won't be smashed in a place like England?
Dropped catches are a part of the game, shouldn't be used as an excuse.
Yeah he did rush them, in his first game in his first few overs.
Do you not know what happened after?
142-143 average speed isn't anything to get excited about, with the odd ball at 148.
Pace isn't everything if the below is the result.

142-143 average speed is not anything to get excited about. 142-143 average speed with the ability to touch 150 for an 18 year old in his debut series in the UAE is something to get very excited about.
Pace is absolutely not everything but the value of pace is understated. Because of his pace, he has to have less skills (swing, line and length) etc than a slower bowler to be effective. Ofcourse if he has no other skills apart from pace, he will get smashed and the pace becomes a liability.
However in my opinion, he showed in the Australia series he had a brain, decent temperament and okay line and length. Enough to be given more chances.
If he stays fit, I am making the prediction that he will surprise a lot of people and will be the biggest 'find' of the world cup for any team.
As awful as it can get. 3 left armers FGS
If shahen has to play wahab needs to be benched
Hasnain should be given a chance now considering the hype around his pace. He could well also bring the luck that PCT needs ATM.
Why should he get a game?
In the games he has played - he has been impressive and raw. He has a lot to learn. Needs a county stint and a good year of FC cricket.
Unpopular opinion if the pitch is same as england vs sl or yesterday i think we should retain hasan ali he is good on these kind of wickets .
If the wicket is flat than should give a chance to husnain
I agree.
Yesterday’s pitches are tailor-made for Hasan Ali.
For his reverse swing.
Hasnain is an exciting talent but seems to be too raw. Might scare lower ranked teams with his pace but may not be a great option vs SA...
Hasan ali batting and fielding is not that bad its just bowling which lacks control. If he doesn't play today i am afraid his worldcup is over
Faf and amla are declining massively who doesn't seems that convincing against raw pace .Ferguson expose them with share pace so won't be bad idea to play husnain but then again husnain is inexperience and also playing first time at lords can be extremely difficult for new bowler so chances are very slim that he might play
