Should Pakistan invite Zimbabwe and Ireland to Pakistan for 1 or 2 Tests?

It would be great if PCB invites one of them and they visit it would also bring test cricket back.I think Zimbabwe will not have any problem as they even visited in past.Discuss

No thanks; the stands will be empty so the high security will not be worth it. Invite teams for T20s and then ODI matches as they are commercially more viable.

What makes you think stands will be empty in cricket starved cities like Hyderabad?

I can see both these teams coming. I have a stronger emphasis on Zimbabwe as they have toured for some ODI & T20's in 2015. What could sweeten the deal is that Pakistan is meant to be touring Zimbabwe in the summer.

yes they should.

Not for Test. It's a catch 22 situation - the Cities, where security standard can be managed (Karachi, Lahore, may be Pindi), I doubt a Test between PAK - WI/SRL would produce enough paid crowd to match the number of runs scored in the Test match (last time it didn't against SRL). May be, in smaller venues like Shekhupura, Gujranwala, it might pull some crowd, but the other issue comes. Gate money isn't a big deal these days, but after almost a decade, a Test match in empty ground won't look good.

Best is to play ODI/T20 in other venues than Lahore (which will establish more credibility that it's safer outside Lahore as well).

Yes... would be great.
Even if they are able to convince them for some LOIs at this point, it will be really good..

Yes we could. If we pay Zimbabwe high money like we did last time they could be convinced and Pakistan have done favours to Ireland before as we have played a few ODI series there.

Three match ODI series vs Zimbabwe in Karachi would be ideal, I don't see teams ready to play Tests in Pakistan just yet. Ireland may be harder to convince.

ZCB have had to withhold domestic salaries due to the financial crisis so the players need the payday and they'd give us a good game with Taylor and Jarvis back.

Plus Zimbabwe are upgrading their grounds for the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers so they can't play at home anyway for the next few months.

If they don't want to play tests, we should host some ODIs versus either side.
