A lot of positives in Naseem Shah's performances at the moment, and a lot of good things being said about him but is he ready to represent Pakistan in LOIs and/or Tests?

My worry is him not being ready and getting a serious injury.

You can't go to Australia without pace. Nasim Shah, Hasnain need to be on that tour

He is inexperienced, but is a supreme talent that deserves to be picked.

He must be used wisely by bowling him in short bursts rather than over bowling him.

Only pick him for tests.

I get the feeling 3 of the 4 pacers for the Aus tests will be Abbas, Shaheen, and Faheem. The fourth will only be one of Naseem and Hasnain.

I'm all for Naseem Shah and Akif Javed to tour AUS. Not a huge fan of Husnain. Give the boy the bowl and tell him to take a crack at it and let see what he does. What is the worst that can happen?

Sameen Gul and Ehsan Adil stand a good chance.
Waqar has spoken out against the selection of Hasnain for the test team due to his inexperience

we should take him even if we dont play...with amir n wahab retired our pace is a disaster...abbas will do nothing on aussie wickets

We will not win in Australia whether he is selected or not. But he probably needs more time.

He needs more time.Pakistan is touring England next summer. He should be part of team for this tour.He will do well in England.

Australia is not the best tour for a young fast Bowler because most of these tours don't end well. On the other hand, Asif went in 2004, and looked really poor and a 2 years later destroyed Ind and looked beastly.

Both have very impressive FC numbers, but between them it'd probably be Adil primarily because he's played test matches (even though it's not much, he has more experience). The thing I'm worried about is the experience of Pakistan's bowling attack. You have Abbas but then aside from him, everyone else is pretty much new. I thought Hasnain primarily because the games are in Australia hence his pace would be useful, but if Waqar's against his selection then maybe Naseem might be the one to fill that role.

Waqar has said that Hasnain will only play t20i cricket at the moment as he hasn't played any longer formats in domestic cricket. He needs to do that before being up for selection. Also Waqar pointed out that Hasnain has many technical flaws in his bowling which need to be fixed, as he can't play longer formats with these issues.

He was impressed with Naseem and they are considering to take him to Australia. Waqar also said that there was no issue with Naseem's technique.

If he gets selected and ends up playing, it'll be unfair to him if Pakistan go with a 4-man bowling attack like we did when we last toured AUS.

they should have 3 frontline pace bowlers, Shadab, Yamin and Haris to get through overs.

I would pick him but ensure we dont over bowl him. I guess we will have decent 5th bowling option in Haris Sohail and Azhar ali, and Yasir Shah is all set to be dumped.

His injury situation needs clarity. If you ask Naseem he will say he is fine for obvious reasons but PCB medical staff need to make sure he is all ready and then take him to Australia

Selected for Australia test series. Imagine seeing on the tv screen AGE: 16. That's what Pak is known for and it works for us, he will have a good career, I can tell you that now.

Excellent decision by Misbah - about time we see some new talent.

Is he going to be the youngest pace bowler to make a test debut? Seems like it. He has 20 years to make a great career, hopefully he makes the most of it.

They probably won't debut him yet , but will play the 3 day match I reckon. I think its good enough at this stage.

If you exclude Bangladesh, if Naseem debuts he will be the second youngest pacer to debut. 1st is Aqib Javed.

Excited to see him bowl in Australia.

Come on champ, make a name for yourself!

Great to see his name in the Pakistan line-up - has worked hard and endured injuries etc - hopefully can deliver for Pakistan.

My fear is at the age of 16, is his body ready for the rigors of test cricket. His workloads needs to be monitored.

That I worry as well. And for that reason I think we should go with 5 bowlers if we play him. Just to level the work load.
