He's in a beast mode.

Yes, the quality of cricket is pretty low. But still to average over hundred and hitting big hundreds is no easy task.

He also has PSL and if he does well, then he'd be on the plane to Zimbabwe.

Whether he's the answer or not is a different question, but he deserves a place based on merit.

I can see Inzi dropping Shan from test squad and select him for the odi squad.

At this point even some random welder, mistry, mochi, mechanic from the street would be a better selection than Azhar Ali.

A couple of great tournaments is not enough to warrant a place in the ODI team. Let's see if he continues like this for at least a year or so. Also Psl is about to start, let's see how he does there.

Don't have to search outside the ODI team. Hasan Ali is there, should open the batting with Fakhar. Hasan can provide us decent starts, even a 30 off 15 would be good.

Thanks God some mistry munshi and mechanic level soch type of people not running PCB otherwise Azhar average and SR would not have been better than garbage players in the team. Azhar is a class player and one bad series or munshi mechanic soch doesn't make him a lesser player.

I agree with OP both Shan Masood and Khurram manzoor should be included in our ODi and test team base on their current form,

Khurram Manzoor and Shan Masood should be far from the ODI team. We need Nasir Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Sohail Akhtar etc type of players and not these slugs.

But they are in supreme form in domestic and it should be materialize into national team otherwise people would stop playing in domestic.

Nah, I wanna see Sahibzada Farhan or Mukhtar Ahmed instead. We need dynamic power hitters to partner Fakhar. and Masood only gets chances because he has family connections.

A guy with a career SR of 79 in List A cricket is no more the solution to our opening problem than Azhar Ali is.

Azhar Ali has to go no matter what. Based on his recent domestic performances Shan Massod could be his replacement.

Let me tell you what will happen if he plays.

Edges behind in the first 5 over guaranteed.

Azhar Ali came into ODI squad on 2015.
>How many great innings did he play?
>How many 70+ did he score?
He only had a good CL thats it!

But Farhan did not had a good series. He only played well last year (4 consecutive half centuries), after that he got lost.

I like this idea. A quick cameo to take a bit of pressure of Fakhar and put bowlers on the backfoot.

That would be an improvement!

For in the recent NZ series 3 wickets down in the first 5 overs was a norm.

If it's between the 2 as ODI Opener/#3, then Shan definitely should be picked - but that tells more about AA than Masood.

Nope. Sahibzada Farhan should be considered ahead of Masood.

Averaged 57 in the tournament with 1 hundred and 3 fifties in 8 matches.
