Two very different organisations. The armed forces of any country are a respectable institution. Soldiers are honourable people who serve their country and are basically following the orders of policy makers, but I feel it is time for The Indian Armed forces to at least stop allowing a false sense of bravado to build within the Indian public through over fuelled dramatisation of a war situation.
Movies like Commando, URI, Baaghi, Aik The Tiger Etcc do more damage and inflict more humiliation to the Indian international image when things don’t go as well as you would like on the borders (Pakistan and China) or when the intelligence agency fails (Kulbushan Yadav).
Does the armed forces of India need to seriously think about the image that is going out the Indian public before they completely lose credibility? Thoughts welcome
