These days teams have lots of reviews available in all forms of cricket. Sometimes captain takes a review just for the sake of it, and that results in a lot of time wasting.

Is it about time that teams get penalised for a few runs everyone they take a bad review?

Time is money.

nope, if they have a review, its their right to use it.

You cant penalize for taking a review. We think some of those reviews are bad reviews as when we watch the game, we watch it in the comfort of our a room and the camera in the ground giving us the exact images we need to view the match. We also get replays aswell.

On field conditions are something else.

The only one who has a view to see if its out or not from the opposing team is always the bowler, fielders from all angles cant tell, and even the keeper has trouble.

You have to understand the situations when bad reviews take place

That would defeat the purpose of a review. Teams would become “hesitant” to use reviews for fear of a penalty and hence umpires would retain the same control as they did previously

Batsman is given out

"Hey I wanna review that"

Ump: "Ok, it's umpires call so you're still out, sorry. Also I think that was a bad review so I'm gonna penalize your team. I'll take a few runs away for wasting everyone's time"

:p

I think a team should lose their review even if they miss it on umpire’s call. That would make taking reviews so much more interesting

Umpires call is not a bad review.
