Should Usman Khan Shinwari be picked for the South Africa Test series?

I really like the look of Shinwari. He is a wicket taking bowler who makes things happen. Somehow, he bends his back and gets something out of even a lifeless pitch. I think he will be lethal on the much quicker and bowler friendly SA pitches.

I know his injury concerns, but I’d really play him over Amir in the xi. I love his give it all attitude, and his someone that has natural aggression in his bowling like the Pakistani players of old did.

His injuries are bound to return which is why selecting him in tests is not a risk worth taking

Shaheen isnt ready for test cricket yet , he is talented but lacks control.

Brother , in South Africa, you need your 3 tallest Pacers so I'd have Shaheen Shah afridi, Arshad Iqbal and maybe Mohammad Irfan . Also you need a wrist spinner who is the best batter so shadab should be the spinner ahead of Yasir. Aamir, Hasan, Abbas and Usman are too short to succeed there.

True, but if were are going to try him anywhere South Africa will be as good as place as any. WE are probably gonna get smashed regardless, so id rather blood him then waste it on a person like Riaz

Arshad Iqbal, the 6'4'' U19 bowler ? He hasn't played a single FC/LA match yet, whereas Shaheen Afridi has already done wonders in his modest domestic career, with a 8/39 on FC debut and some heroics in the PSL as well.

Also I'd say in SA you generally need more of the swing bowlers (the taller ones I'd put them in AUS).

Yes he should if it means no Rahat Ali or Wahab Riaz He won't be a starter if the rest are available and on form.
