Should Virat Kohli open the innings?

In this 3 match series he has practically opened the innings and has been comfortable as ever in doing so. If you look at the last year's IPL there too he opened the innings for the whole tournament and had his best possible season. So with Indian openers being mediocre wouldn't it be best for the team that he opens the innings and add a hitter in lower order?I


f not in ODIs then for T20 it makes perfect sense. Coming in earlier only means more runs for the taking with fielder inside the circle.

He should bat every position but there is only one of him.

I expect to see Pant getting the opening spot very soon.

In ODI's Never!He is consistent but its better to have someone like Rohit/Pant/Dhawan on top who can go all guns blazing,Kohli is the anchor not the missile speaking of which we need middle order Pandya/Dhoni/Jhadav to fire and atleast one opener to get quick 50s

When he came in at 4 people used to say the same thing but moving up to 3 made me play even better and if IPL success is anything to go by kohli can do even better opening the innings

No need...its just 3 matches the openers failed...

The next assignment is CT2017 England...we need solid openers and we will have two from Rohit/Rahul/Rahane and they are good enough to do the job.

Dhawan shouldn't be persisted anymore though.

Pant should have fun in next 3 T20's but should not be an option for CT.
