I am rarely one to make such outlandish predictions but i have a feeling that Shubman Gill is going to be the next big thing in indian cricket in the next 10 years.

He has won the best junior cricketer award for two consecutive years, and has been performing really well in FC and List A with an average of 61 and 40 respectively. Not only that but he also got an IPL contract at such an early age and has a decent average of 30 in T20s as well.
He also got the looks for the media and advertisements and if BCCI blood him in the team ASAP he will soon find a place in a lineup which is a one man show right now. I also feel that Virat can be a solid mentor as he seems to be a big hearted sort of a guy and can raise Gill's level.
The only worrying thing is BCCI's penchant for not selecting youngsters and sticking with TTFs which is harmful for a fan base that have put their hopes on a player like KL Rahul who has not shown much so far in either ODI or test format.
What do PPers think about Shubman?
