Because we were behind the over rate and captain was afraid he would be banned next game and we will be docked points.

It was madness to see Haris and Iftikhar operating together in Australia off all places sure they would still have managed 500 plus and we still lose by an innings but really what message are we sending to the opposition I am surprised not much is being talked about this here.

I don't think Naseem didn't bowl due to the over-rate. Shaheen and Imran bowled plenty of overs today too, he could have bowled some of those overs if they wanted him to.

Pretty sure Naseem didn't bowl because 1. he's a teenager 2. he's on debut 3. playing in Australia is tough for newbies 4. the match was pretty much gone 5. we have another Test against Aus, then Tests against SL coming up.

Did you read the second part. Pacers were not doing much(and were inexperienced) and Haris got 2 wickets. So for similar or worse results would it have been wise to risk losing your captain as well as championship points ?
All this noise about Misbah and Waqar this and that is pointless they hardly ha e been with Pak team in this current management, and only mistake they have made thus far is selecting Imran Khan in the squad when Mohd Abbas is there(even in bad form). I'm not saying they are good or bad, time will tell but Mickey was no better in tests.
