If Keane is £30mn then Lukaku is definitely worth the prices being quoted

Everyone has gone mad. Everton also splashed £30m on Jordan Pickford, a 23 year-old goalkeeper!![]()
The amount of money being splashed around is grotesque and why I've totally gone off football.
I know cricket has its gross inequalities but at least there's a semblance of a level playing field.
Lol really?
De Gea is worth 130mn pounds in that case
No way at all. I am glad Liverpool are not going mental like all other sides by overpaying for average players.
Emigrate to here mate, still lots of money in the game but far more fan friendly and likeable
Prices of these mediocre English players is being inflated by the rules requiring at least two or three (dunno actual number) in each matchday squad.
Only Keanes worth this money were Roy and Robbie
Andy Carroll??
All top english clubs are the same

Salah isn't average. But £35 million for him is a big risk.
The TV money is hyperinflating transfer fees. Its about time the Premier League imposes a salary cap like they do in America and makes steps to control transfer fees.
Nearly a third of international transfer fees goes to agents !
This is unsustainable. The "financial success" of the Premier League is a big myth. The turnover of an average Premier League club is a little more than that of an average Tesco supermarket. And clubs spend huge amounts of their turnover on wages.
