I know this is T20 and anything is possible but he looks a shadow of the batsman he was when he came into international cricket.

Seems to have forgotten how to build an innings and forgotten the basics of batting.

Shouldn't have joined Afridi clan. Once you're a part of that, things are automatically inclined to go downhill for you (Afridi/Shehzad/Akmal/Maqsood).

Hasn't worked on his weakness at all. It's a shame because he has the power to clear the boundaries and is a calm and composed guy.

he was never all the great to begin with.. probably lost confidence and doesn't seemed to have worked on his game

to the best of my knowledge he's been pretty ordinary in domestic too

Anybody remember that atrocious shot he played vs us in the 2015 World Cup to get out for a duck?

Doubt he's done much in his career bar the first couple of innings vs South Africa.

I remember him and fawad winning Pakistan a game against SL. IIRC They were chasing close to 280 and had lost 5 wickets for 100 runs. Sohaib played a gem of a knock that day and i thought here is a guy who can chase big totals for Pak. Its a shame what has become of him since.

I liked him but he just became a slogger, on the first ball he would just try and hit it and get out.

Also, probably didn't help throwing him around the order, first he was at 5 or something, then Hafeez was getting wrecked at 3 against SA so they throw him at 3 and he does well, then they move him to 4, then 7 to accommodate the biggest failure in one day cricket, Asad Shafiq.

he got exposed in Intl Cricket for his weakness against the short ball that destroyed his confidence and also his shot selection worsened a lot. The typical Pakistani big hitter story.

Ridiculous shot once again from him.

Wickets have tumbled so he comes in and plays a flash shot 2nd ball.

Terrible strokeplay.

Joke of a batsman. Should never play for Zalmi let alone Pakistan team. Can't even buy a run.

And we have people calling for his comeback.

Terrible batsman at the moment.

Has an incredible amount of flaws and he needs to work for 2-3 years in domestic cricket before he can even be considered again. However, it might be too late by then. He's just a couple months short of being 30 years of age already.

My god what a hack.

Can PPers please quit calling for this guy's comeback ? And spare us the nonsense about Misbah destroying his career.

This guy is a flat footed, irresponsible, Grade A hack.

Him and Umar Akmal both, their shelf life was not more than 2-3 years.. the rest was playing on reputation

What do you mean?

I don't seem to recall he ever said he admired Afridi, modeled his batting after him or thought of him as a mentor of any sort..

Goodbye.

Best thing for him is to help others in the Multan Cricket Academy as he has a degree in Sports Science, and part that knowledge with those who are younger than him. Hopefully we see Khushdil Shah soon.
