I consider David Miller a better option than Rossouw or Duminy at 5 especially when you have AR's like Behardien, Wiese and Morris in the team..

Moriss' reaction was priceless there. Started walking back to his mark then suddenly saw the umpire putting his finger up.

Would have been a good decision to bowl first had they taken the Root chance. Now looking debatable.

Slightly has the air of Warne dropping Pietersen at the Oval, unfortunately for Amla...

Awful umpiring in this game already.

Hales given out caught behind despite missing the ball by three yards, and now Root given not out to a leg before appeal that was hitting middle stump.

Both thankfully overturned and justice done, but that's unbelievably shocking umpiring at this level. Hopefully the series is decided in the end by the team who plays the best cricket overall, and not by an umpire.

de Kock needs to score 29+ runs to overtake Root for most runs this series. Hope the kid does it.

Chris Morris had better have another quickfire 60 runs lined up, because he is bowling like Mrs Mop at the moment.

England does have a very strong middle order..Root, Morgan, Stokes, Butler all are valuable players..no passengers or accumulator in that team and the lower order is pretty good too with Ali, Broad, Woakes, Rashid..

England well placed here to get 250+ which will be a good total on this surface. S.A bowlers on the whole have bowled to waywardly on this surface so far.

Hales has been excellent with the bat once again.

Stokes gone! clean bowled by Rabada

155/4 after 27.5 overs

Buttler gone 1st ball, poor shot to a straight ball.

Rabada will be on a hat trick next over. england have had alot of these type of mini middle order collapses in the series.

Another soft dismissal for Moeen he's had a poor series.

Wiese and Morris look very average bowlers.

Some poor batting by England..Throwing away wickets to the fifth bowler

This is a shame, everyone seems to be throwing their wickets away, quite often to balls that don't deserve it. Hopefully broad can stick around and support Hales for a bit.

Poor shot from rashid, england might not even bat the 50 overs here.

Hales deserves a 100 here. Need to work on his conversion rate though. This will only be his 2nd 100.

Broad needs to some how stick around for next 10 overs.

Hales has scored well all series but needs to get a big 100 here...

Hales has played a very good knock.

Looking at the cricinfo comments, I have to say, I would have liked to see Taylor and Bairstow get a chance.

If you will keep bowling the 5th bowler then obviously tailenders will irritate..AB did made a change now with Abbot but he should have done that a bit earlier.

Heh, I've been moaning about his "annoyingness" since the test series. I'm actually jealous that he can bat a bit :P

SA should win this but England will give their all.

What's the best response to some pretty terrible bowling? - why, even worse batting, of course!

England on track for a heavy defeat unless they produce a magic bowling display.

Hashim Moen chant begins..Expecting another big one from Amla here.

So AB's plan to hide from the new swinging ball and gamble on Rossouw surviving quality fast bowling has failed.

Time for Captain No-So Fantastic to come out and face the music.
