Hashim Amla has a start again. Played some beautiful shots today but hasn't rotated the strike as well as he would have liked. :sanga
 
Rossouw being pathetic. Can't believe they picked him for the WC. He seems mentally weak and/or unlucky. Not sure I want any of those qualities near a SA side in the WC.
 
Batting power play taken, usually brings wickets in clusters though.
But a good decision with two set batsmen at the crease.
 
I liked the approach in the powerplay.
No need to go gung-ho and lose wickets plenty of overs yet.
You could simply take the powerplay as a double bluff to the opposition, thus letting them bowl their best bowlers early on and go hard in the final 10-15 overs.
Good cricket there as no wickets were lost.

Could have still taken a couple of risks and gained 10 more runs. But yes, no harm done.
 
Superb batting by both these batsmen. Highest opening partnership for South Africa in South Africa. Amla also breaks the record for fastest to 18 ODI centuries.
 
Proteas need to start opening up. My mates have gone to the ground to watch Faf, AB, Miller and Duminy. Not the openers tuk-tuk.
 
Good 100's by these two.
And its not easy batting on this deck, its not the usual fast bouncy track conducive for stroke playing.
The pitch is rather slow

I think this could be a good tactic in the WC if applied just to unsettle sides and force them to use their strike bowlers early on.

What was the score after 38.2 overs in the 438 game?

Well done Rossouw. Man enough to hit the some 4's and sacrifice your wicket to get your AB in. Hash is still tuk tuking (********)
 
Amla should step aside and let AB do his thing and that is what he is doing. Rotating the striken does not make less a player
 
Amla doing the smart thing and letting ABDV have the strike as much as possible. ABDV have the fastest 100 in sight?
 
West Indies are getting mutilated. South Africa showing why they are one of the favourites for the WC.
 
I Think that last 6 was because of the high altitiude at the ground lol
 
39 needed off 17, that should be a cake walk for AB from here.
 
Man, this guy is just brutal! Everything is going for a boundary or six.
 
Woeful fielding by the WI.

400 is pretty much a good shout from here.
