Syndicate is the real issue atm in BD. 9 players are from Bashundhara FC, the geezer who gifted 3 goals Saaduddin played the duration first at left back then was moved to rightback did nothing whole game but lasted the duration. Zayan the new youngster came on at left back created opportunities, gave good crosses into the box, got a corner which led to the equaliser. But the syndicate player Saaduddin couldnt clear the ball looked tired but the Spanish takla coach kept him on whole game.

Need a new coach. Syndicate free. How dare the takla leave the best players on the bench and player with his favourite players from Bashundhara. He kept Jamal out for Sohel Rana who is from Bashundhara. Starting line up wasnt right. He didnt take off player who was garbage and tired, his favourite Saad.

Yes. Nepotism is a huge issue in Bangladesh. I don't think it can be fixed overnight.

Maybe future generations would do it less. Nepotism is more common among boomers.

Sri Lanka had a great result they beat Turkmenistan 1-0. Sri Lanka. They could qualify for Asian Cup 2027.

SL football team got 9 foreigners/origin players, some look proper gora maybe has some connection or something. Player called Sam Durrant qualified for SL because his mother who is a caucasian, born in Lanka.
This is getting out of hands. Indonesian team look like Dutch second team. FIFA need to step in.

Result.
Hongkong, China 1 - 1 Bangladesh
HCK scored pen 36min. BD equalised 84min. HKC went down to 10 men.

BD played well. BD had better of the 2nd half. HKC didnt have much chance at all, It was a silly penalty to give away, up until that point it was 50-50 first half. Bad Mistakes cost BD the home match against HKC.

I was actually surprised to see BD defended better, played with much better shape and position than previous game they looked all over the place.

In the groups other match, India v Singapore currently 0-0.

Pakistan play Afghanistan 16:00pm.
Pak missed a penalty previous match against Afghanistan.

Decent result 1-1 needed the win though, but away from home against a side who is much higher in ranking, against in front of 50k fans, it was surprisingly good effort. should have won it, against 10-man. The BD coach is pathetic, didnt put a someone tall in the box as they were getting lot crosses in, he subbed on some Akash in the last 3mins. Cabrera is worse than my local sunday league coach. after bd equalised he should’ve put Hamza in more advance position with someone else in his role, brought on Akash earlier for height in the box.

Origin-based are allowed under fifa rule, like a players parents being from a country or born in a country, but player grew up or was born elsewhere. A player with grandparents roots can qualify for a country. But there are nations giving citizenships to players with zero roots to their country is getting mad. I get that under fifa rule if a player plays continuously in one country they can play for that country if they haven’t got international caps of more than 3 for anyone else. But randomly just gaining it or using the 5year rule is just mad. For me it’s gotta be some sort of connection with grandparents or parents.

Why dont BD use the 5 year rule to add some nigerian players who play in local bd league. I heard some decent nigerian strikers in bd league. I remember saw a guy called Kingleys Eleta once who married BD woman got BD citizenship but syndicate and nepotism meant he didnt get much chance. He was striker big dude which BD could do with up front as they seem to love crossing the ball from wide to no one really.

Yes. That Nigerian dude became a citizen of Bangladesh I believe. Not sure why he didn't get a chance in BD team.

Nepotism is the #1 problem in Bangladesh. I am afraid it may not get fixed in our lifetime. People are shortsighted.

India 1 up vs Singapore 14min. India needs to win to keep their Afc Asian cup qualification hopes alive

Need India to beat Singapore, today. It will keep both South Asian teams chances better alive. Need Singapore to drop all three points this match.

FS! Singapore scored. 2-1 58th minute

Lol. Bants aside. Table wont look good for both the south asian teams. If Singapore win will get 8points with two to go. Hkc and singa will both be on 8points if singa wins today. That means bd needs to win both last two their last two matches against ind and singapore and hope singapore loses to hkc. Or ind needs to win last two matches against bd and hkc and hope singapore loses both matches.

Could come down to goal difference.

India 1-2 Singapore. FT

Both Ind and BD mathematically not out yet. Would need favour from others, as explained above. HKC and S’pore need just a point to go through from their remaining last two matches.

Pakistan, Afghanistan play out second draw in AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers

Etzaz Hussain’s sensational field goal helped Pakistan hold Afghanistan for a 1-1 draw in their second match of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers here at the Ali Subah Al-Salem Stadium on Tuesday.

The Group E fixture got off to an entertaining start as Afghanistan netted the opener just five minutes into the game, courtesy of defender Mahboob Hanifi, who precisely struck the ball past Pakistan goalkeeper Saqib Hanif.

Afghanistan’s lead, however, did not last long as midfielder Etzaz Hussain netted the equaliser in the 29th minute to help Pakistan level at 1-1.

The two teams then made several attempts to score the tie-breaker, but the scoreboard remained intact until the final whistle, resulting in them sharing a point apiece.

Despite sharing the points, Afghanistan and Pakistan remained third and fourth, respectively, with two points in four matches. The former holds the edge due to a superior goal difference.

For the unversed, Pakistan and Afghanistan played out a draw in their first leg of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers last week in Islamabad.

The Green Shirts began the game with intensity, mounting regular attacks, but were unable to breach Afghanistan’s resilient defence in the first half.

Afghanistan’s solid defensive setup successfully kept Pakistan from converting their chances.

Pakistan had a golden opportunity to take the lead in the 67th minute when they were awarded a penalty. However, Otis Khan failed to capitalise, leaving the scoreline unchanged.

Despite the disappointment over missed opportunities, fans applauded both teams for their spirited display in a hard-fought draw.
