Three girls are kidnapped by a man with a diagnosed 23 distinct personalities, and must try and escape before the apparent emergence of a frightful new 24th.
Good movie. My 3rd favourite M Night Shyamalan movie tied with unbreakable. I was pleasantly surprised because M Night Shyamalan has been awful recently

Resident evil and assassins creed are garbage. (Coming from a massive fan of both game series.) Dr strange is alright. It's predictable and you'll forget it in a few days. Typical superhero movie but decent. Accountant was alright. This is comfortably better than all 4.

No sir. Not one bit. That children cartoon series did not deserve such legendary movie making techniques and such diverse casting. Unfortunately the source material was pathetic and the movie suffered.

James McAvoy is a good actor. and Shyamalan's movies already loses one star just because of his name and still getting a decent reviews. It has piqued my interest.
Somebody bring me up to speed, what is all this hu ha about Shyamalan and which movies should I watch to see what the fuss is all about? JaDed aliasad1998

Shyamalan started out being hyped as one of those "Nolan" type of directors but after 3 movies ,the hype and his directing capabilities died down.I have lost faith in him- his movies to watch-Sixth Sense,Signs,Unbreakable

Oh I've seen Stuart Little to! awesome movie, wow I didn't know an Indian born director made all these movies. Just had a look at his wiki page, his last couple of releases have been well received indicating a return to form. Maybe he went outside his comfort zone a little bit which may explain why the others received not as much acclaim critically

You can watch village too,it would be decent performances with poor direction imo. There is a reason guys like Spielberg,Scorsese are regarded great they kept evolving with time.

He started off with a bang my making one of the best movies ever. The sixth sense. After that he made umbreakable which is good. Then he made signs which I think is an excellent and underrated movie. He fell off after that and started making absolutely terrible movies which is why people think he's not good. Though split was excellent and if he makes a few more movies like this he can redeem himself

I liked the movie, but have a problem with the way director made him into someone who likes to oppress people. People who have these kind of problems usually are a victim as a lot of people dont understand this disorder and society confines them, but it was interesting will give it that much.

Cheers, had seen sixth sense and Stuart Little. Going to watch Unbreakable today ( just had a flash back of endymion248 telling me to watch it given that it's one of the first superhero movies which blurs the lines when it comes to the genre) , split is the sequel I believe

I finished watching both movies few weeks back, am so excited for Mr Glass. 'I should have known way back when! they use to call me Mr Glass!' loved that line never saw the twist coming in Unbreakable. Split was amazing, you actually look at it as the first supervillain origin story in a way and it was brilliant. Always been a huge fan of Shylaman since the 6th sense, need to watch Signs to heard that was pretty good.
I enjoyed the movie but it could have been much better in the sense where you'd expect it to blow you away and be worthy of an academy or golden globe award; it fell short of that but otherwise was a solid effort and it's always difficult making the third one, then again this never intended to be a natural trilogy.
I wouldn't give it anything less then a 7.5 personally, reviews seem to be negative or mixed but that is also to do with the film not living up to the hype and expectations, ignore them and it's not too bad.
Man I had such high expectations for this film, and it started it off well too, the premise was good, and it was shaping up for an epic climax, but the ending was a bit weak, even though it was in the Shayamalan vein of endings...
Having said that I still enjoyed it because it was set up so beautifully by its prequels.
I was super hyped so my expectations were inflated, rarely ever do we get a 5/5 perfect trilogy of movies like LoTR or the Bourne series, like shaz above I was expecting to be blown away, but still a solid movie.
Man that scene with Kevin's mom walking up the stairs with a burning iron and then the scene cuts and you can hear him as a kid shrieking in pain... damn... McAvoy is something else, sold the character brilliantly and deserved a better ending, but at least he was finally able to stand up to reality, regardless of how painful it was, he found peace in it.
