TOSS - The flip of the coin lands in favour of Sri Lanka, and the skipper, Charith Asalanka, has elected to FIELD first.

Meanwhile, in the first match of today's doubleheader in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates responded brilliantly against Oman after being sent in to bat first in a crucial match, with their openers Alishan Sharafu and Muhammad Waseem laying a solid foundation. After both sides lost their opening encounters and faced a potential tournament exit, the pressure was and has been immense. The UAE batters, however, didn't buckle, with Sharafu scoring a quickfire 51 and Waseem an impressive 69, helping their team post a challenging total of 172/5. While Oman's bowlers struggled to make early breakthroughs, Jiten Ramanandi was a standout, claiming two key wickets. Now, Oman face a steep chase, needing 173 runs to keep their Super Four hopes alive.

Let’s keep the discussion respectful and focused on cricket!

Another big over for Hong Kong. 12 from it. They are playing better today.

HK - 84/2 (12 overs).

Brilliant stuff by Hong Kong. They definitely had some periods of brilliance throughout the whole series.

Yeah. They batted well against Bangladesh. They also bowled well in patches against Afghanistan.

They are not a strong associate but they can have their moments.

Hong Kong is batting well against Lanka. Can they post 170?

Hong Kong have some okay bowlers. Their spinners are pretty good.

I think 160 can challenge SL.

HK - 120/3 (16.4 overs).

20 balls to go. They should aim for 40 here. It can take them to 160.

Eventful 4th over. 15 from it. But, a wicket also.

SL - 26/1 (4 overs).

124 to win from 16 overs.

Great over from Hong Kong. Just 3 from it.

SL - 29/1 (5 overs).

121 to win from 15 overs.

Hong Kong competing much better against Sri Lanka than the useless Nagin team. :inti

Another tight over from Hong Kong.

SL - 35/1 (6 overs).

Powerplay is done. 115 to win from 14 overs.

Dropped catch. That should've been taken.

Hong Kong can't afford to drop catches now. :inti

Nissanka is a quality batsman. I would like him to try and win games for Lanka against better teams, he is capable of that.

Back to back boundaries.

54 to win from 42 balls.

Hong Kong are losing the plot now.

How many catches have HK dropped? This is comedy now lol
This sri lankan team is pure minnow you were saying they play spin well i don't see them competing against pakistan forget about india hong kong had this match in bag just dropped catches going to cost them.

HK has bowled well and taken pace off the ball. Look at the likes of Nissanka, Mishara, Mendis etc bat. Daylight between these guys and our boys who cannot take singles or hit boundaries.

But yes 11 dropped catches is a joke lol

Lol so much for Sri lanka 2nd best. Agenda aside Pakistan is the 2nd best Asian t20 team lol.

Srilankans are struggling against HK spinners..imo pakistan is the 2nd best team in Asia. Afghanistan can best this SL team easily if they bat first .

SL - 127/5 (17 overs).

23 to win from 18 balls.

This has been the best game of the tournament thus far.
