Brilliant batting from these two as usual, the new ball was the only thing that could put a spanner in the works. We've got this in the bag now.

Outstanding from these two, fantastic morning session. This is EXACTLY what we needed to do. Saw out the new ball and have kept plugging away.

Absolutely beaming, haven't been this happy as a cricket fan in years !

I feel secure when these 2 are out there now that misbah is finally in. Hopefully he can get a 60 not out.
 
Pak Cricket is a never-ending emotional rollercoaster. Fans feeling completely dejected 2 nights ago having let the series slip, now watching Pak play some of the best test Cricket in its history.

They can start flourishing when there's less than 30 runs to get. I suggest taking 5-6 overs to get the first 20 runs at least. The weather is clear no?

48 more runs to YK to surpass Miandad's record for most runs in Test Cricket by a Pakistani batsman, that means YK has to farm the strike and be aggressive to score 48 of 56 and break the record.

YK has to be clever here..never let Misbah face Kaushal from now on.

Hes not retiring after this match so why risk ruining such a high not out score for a near impossible task. Logic not your strong point.
 
YK beats VVS now in runs scored. Also has more tons and better average and less tests.

Younus and Misbah does not deserve to share 'Legend' in same sentence.

Younus is class ahead. I doubt this word can be use for Misbah

Umm..Misbah has played half the games and averages over 40 at the age of 40.

Misbah is a Pakistani great. Most test wins as captain, average of 48 while batting. he is a Pakistani legend.
On the other hand younis can be called an ATG.
 
Misbah and YK should develop some understanding in the lunch interval on how to approach remaining runs in order for YK to surpass Miandad, Thats why I feel Misbah must hand the strike back YK as much as possible to get those runs. In case he gets out, Misbah should step on the accelerator and finish this historic chase with a few biggies :)

Please let's enjoy it while he is around. It's one scene to behold. Every time he comes out of the crease a sixer is almost guaranteed. As a kid I used to love Inzimam coming down the track and dispatching it over the fence. Is Misbah better than Inzimam at that ? I think he is ... plus his reverse sweep is also a treat to watch...

Bro,Misbah also has been a very good servant to Pak.He might not have a good overseas test record but still has done a lot for the success of Pak.We have had some real memorable test win under the captaincy of Misbah.He is a certainly a legendary test captain if not a legendary test batsman.

He also has a legendary 48 test average.I still remember him making 65 not out against Australia in Australia on his debut match there.He has performed splendidly in New Zealand too and is yet to play a test in England.

He can be good, very good but no Legend
 
Bear in mind that all five Sri Lankan bowlers have a Sami-esque Test bowling average of worse than 40!
