Why has the SLC board/government instructed its players and touring staff to continue with the tour as per schedule??

It’s clear that you and others who are in love with Khan are simply looking for an excuse to go off!

Ya i get that bro what i liked about naqvi he knows how to convince others boards and have a good relation with all boards but he will never bow down to anyone will always do what is best interest of pakistan he is really good at what he does there is a reason why so many tours have taken place in pakistan since naqvi has been incharge.

CRICKET WINS – Pakistan and Sri Lanka series to go as planned

November 12, 2025:
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) would like to inform fans and stakeholders that the schedule for the ongoing One-Day International (ODI) series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi has been slightly revised.

The 2nd ODI, which was originally scheduled for 13 November 2025, will now be played on 14 November 2025 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Tickets purchased for 13 November will remain valid and can be used for entry on 14 November.

Similarly, the 3rd ODI, which was previously set for 15 November 2025, has been rescheduled to 16 November 2025. All tickets purchased for 15 November will be valid for the 16 November fixture.

The PCB appreciates the understanding and cooperation of cricket fans and looks forward to their continued support as we host the Sri Lanka team in what promises to be an exciting ODI series.

Glad that matches will go ahead and Cricket will not suffer further in Pakistan. The absence of home cricket from 2009-2019 has everlasting impact already

Looks like security guarantees will have been made. Play behind closed doors like during Covid. Nobody should breathe near the stadium without prior authorisation.

Anyone trying to break the security perimeter should be shot on sight.

These TTP/JUA animals - and their foreign handlers - are wreaking havoc and want to repeat 2009.
 
SLCB straight up threatening players to complete the tour against their security concerns. I don’t know how they handled the matter internally but a very poorly drafted declaration.

It is their internal matter, so we don't really care... Pakistan is already giving them foolproof security and that is what matters the most... 100% security for the Lankan team should make things easy for them.
 
Not our issue, but I doubt the players who had their concerns will have their head 100% in the game now.

Whenever such news comes out I have seen you guys crying about the source every time. And then 99.9% of time the news is true but you never acknowledge it's true and contribute creating the false information that it was fake.

The sources you cry about is true 99% time.

Ipl contracts are important than family. Won't people settle down and stick with their family more after earning sufficient money?
 
I think Pakistan is on verge of another setback. If anything happens again, then forget international cricket for number of years ahead. We are completely doomed as a nation.

If it was political, why did Pakistan play in India in 2023.

It is so unsafe that the CT final was shifted to Dubai.

Women’s WC final happened in India.
 
Just imagine what the reaction would have been on PP if some team wanted to leave India because of the Delhi blast?

Very true, very hard to focus on Cricket when dodging bullets is the first thought in your mind. Pakistan needs a few more years of stability before players actually feel comfortable playing there.
 
I sincerely hope I'm wrong, but I foresee some dark times for Pakistan cricket again. The way the country is going, the day may not be too far when international cricket again refuses to come to Pakistan. There's an eerie similarity to the days of the 2000s when suicide blasts were common.

For that to happen a democratic government should be in place which won't happen in next 100 years as Pakistan have been ruled by military since late 1950's.

But threatening their players through public declaration isn’t the right way to handle such matters. They would look stupid and guilty of God forbid anything happens.
 
I am a Pakistani but if I am being unbiased, it is not right to force a team to stay in a country and play cricket if they don’t feel safe. SL Board should be ashamed of themselves. How can SL players play with a clear mind if they are fearful of their safety?

The situation in Pakistan is quite delicate at the moment. God forbid if we had another 2009, that could set Pakistan cricket back even further. It took a long time after the 2009 incident for cricket to return to Pakistan. If we have another such incident, cricket might never return to Pakistan again.

We are better off cancelling the series or rescheduling it to a later date. It is not right to put the lives of cricketers and fans at risk, just a for a meaningless series of cricket.
 
If Sri Lankan players have concerns about their safety and don't want to continue then they should be allowed to leave the country you can't put gun to their head and tell them to continue playing cricket safety of individual is always first priority then cricket

Good stuff from the Sri Lankan Cricket Board. When the players are being promised full proof Presidential level security, they should get on with it. They are being paid to play cricket by their employer
 
This entire episode there is something more that meets the eye. Whilst on face of it I would agree that players should leave once there is genuine threat or lives at risk. But this certainly wasn't a life threatening incident or a massive scale incident that would call for immediate evacuation by folks.

Further no respect to SL team but their own home has been politically turbulent over the past 2-3 years. Had this come from SENA teams you'd argue differently as they are akin to harmony / peaceful surroundings.

There is definitely something more to this episode. PCB did good in convincing them to stay on and complete the tour. SLC had massive eggs on their faces for acknowledging that players want to leave but we are ignoring their concerns.

Peshawar is constantly ignored so there is nothing new here and I am certain you are one of the few who probably cite safety
concerns for that but right now your tune is completely different. So instead of assuming I am a hypocrite, you probably need to look in the mirror at your local Jobseekers Office

It’s not my fault that Peshawar is letting in all the trash from it’s border! It’s not my fault that the KPK government seems to have sympathies with the Afghans in this war against Pakistan!

When Peshawar is struck off from the PSL hosting venues, make sure you pop up here and state what you just said above!

SL brothers must support Pakistan as Pakistan has always supported them.

They also realise that it is only a matter of time before India plans terrorism act in SL. In such tough times Pakistan will always be in the frontline to support our SL brothers.

PCB is in no position emotionally blackmail SL citing Pakistan's visit to srilanka during their tough times. Srilanka did visit pakistan in 2009 as a reciprocation. Didn't go well. Samaraweera is still traumatised by 2009 attack. Call it stupidity or generosity SLC is forcing its players to play against their will. Hope the series finshes without incidents.
