Hello fellow cricketers,

This is my first ever post on pak passion so excuse my mistakes/ignorance. I'm in India currently and looking to buy a bat. I'm an aggressive opener for my team. I'm confused if I should choose a SG bat or a SS bat and if I should get the SS TON Gladiator or TON Matrix should I choose SS. Money is not an issue, I just want the best bat which would last for a good amount of time. My previous bats have been: 2 Pakistani made plain bats with the second one being my best bat so far probably and it was just for $100.
SG Sunny Legend (2nd best), SG Combat and SM King of Kings. I have already used the top of the line bats from SG and SM so I was thinking about going with SS as I've heard only good things about it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated and questions welcomed :)

P.S I'm currently using the SM and the Plain bat. I start with the SM and then bring out the plain bat after a few overs, it's an absolute beast. The problem is that it is severly cracked from the toe with a tiny chunk split off as well and I used it in that condition the entire of last semester and scored the most runs with it. It will soon split into pieces and hence I'm looking to buy the best bat that replaces it.
Thanks In Advance.

Check out some cricket store online, youtube reviews (he's done some of the OLD SS and SG range) or take a look at Its just cricket on youtube he's done a few SS new range.

SS, from what i remember all have the exact same shape to the bats, any advice id give would be look for a bat with none-minimal concaving at the back and a nice pick up. A lot of asian bats concave the bats which makes the sweet spot smaller.

Edge size doesn't relate to aggression, you can be an aggressive batsmen with a medium edge and none connive and your bat will last longer, generally to preserve a bat keep it in cool place, oil knock in and gently use that bat don't just take it from the shop to the middle.

So cutting long story short, take a look at the bats, iv always preferred SG bats (because Kookaburra use the SG factory out in India as well for their bats). They have much nicer colour schemes . But thats aesthetics iv never used either bat so i wouldn't take my advice on them to seriously ! But dw about the name on the bat look at the bat itself as it were a plain sticker bat which one would you think looks better

Thanks for the reply Qasim.
After hours of scouting for bats I ended up getting the Gladiator as I fell in love with it as soon as I felt it's ping and the amazing balance :) I gave it in for knocking and should get it soon InShaaAllah
