The organisers need to freshen up the commentators and the presenters.

The commentary is getting stale as is the studio presentation. The same old phrases, the same old chit chat, it's dull and boring.

I know Aamir Sohail gets stick but I thought he was the only good thing in the studio presentation.

In addition the studio looked like something out of the 1980s. Come on spend some cash, get it updated.

The post final ceremony needs to be more organised. It was train wreck from start to finish this year.

Lahore should start with bonus points to make it more interesting. Maybe 6 even.

I wouldn't reduce foreign players. When you're using PSL to sell the safety of Pakistan, then foreign players need to be there.
I would put an age cap so younger players can come in.

Introduce a 7th team so there are 46 matches instead of 34. With more matches comes more revenue and more local talent.

Hold half PSL in Pakistan in 4 venues with 23/25 matches. Revenue will be great with jam packed stadiums

1 emerging batsman who must bat in the top 4 and 1 emerging bowler.

No more hand sanitizing the captains before the toss with Cool & Cool.

And also 'Head & Shoulders move for a million'. Absolutely hate watching that.

Better TV graphics.

And also when they advertise something as LIVE performance and make sure it is actually being performed LIVE by the singers and musicians during opening and closing ceremonies.

Have more local artists and musicians perform rather than filling up with international names. One international performer is more than enough. Afterall it is PAKISTAN Super League, not WORLD Super League :)

And yes, most of the players know each other, have played with and/or against each other but this lovey-dovey constant on field behavior amongst opposition players during a on-going match is something I would like to see less of.

Most importantly tell each and every broadcaster to limit advertisements between the overs and during replays of dismissals or boundaries being hit. Many times I wanted to watch replays of sixes but it happened to be on the last ball of the over and before the umpire could even signal a six, advertisement was already on and sometimes even missed the first delivery of the next over.

Don't just hand out broadcasting rights at the cost of quality. Whether it's on web, mobile app or satellite a definite standard should be set for all.

THere shouldnt be a forced requirement of playing foreign players.

Slowly remove Rameez Raja and bring in some other guy for post match presentation.

Azhar Ali could be bought in as commentator if he is good.

Scrap the play-offs. Top 2 teams at the end of the league stage should automatically qualify for the final.

Maybe tone down the plugging off the ads. I know why it has to be done but a bit ott.

Have home and away jerseys

Have some players from that actual region or city play for that team

Have a rule were all squad members must play 2 games atleast guarantee

Have offical merchanding such as jerseys caps and what ever easy to buy via online most shirts I see from fans are replica or fakes

Few new foreign players I would like to see in PSL5,

1-Ussies Khawaja
2-Hetmeyr
3-Oshane Thomas
4-Rashid Khan and some others.

Shift PSL completely to Pakistan. Multan, Karachi and Lahore stadiums are ready with 5 star facilities in these cities.

Make it compulsory for teams to play 2 emerging players in playing X1.

4 foreign players in playing x1 should not be a must. Teams can go with 3 foreign players too.

Make batting friendly pitches but with good boundary sizes.

There is a Pearl Continental hotel being built in Multan, slated to be completed this year according to their website.

Will there be a 7th team next year? If there is we have 46 matches instead of 34

More facilities in Pindi/Isb than Multan

Boundary lengths should be appropriate.

Grass on wicket in around 25% of matches can spice up the things.

Addition of at least one more team , its sad that we dont get to see guys like saud shakeel bat.

Psl should be completely shifted to pakistan only if there are at least three venues to host the PSL , 35 matches on two grounds are way too many and the wickets will deteriorate.

Cool and cool and head and shoulders should come up with something better than their current marketing antics in PSL.

Add 2 more teams, preferably Faisalabad and Hyderabad.

Increase foreign players to 5 in the starting lineup from 4.

Host matches in more cities if possible than only Lahore and Karachi.

Try to make new stars by focusing more on younger players, instead of on established ones. This goes for both domestic and foreign players. You can scout Australia, West Indies, etc for young players who have not been capped for Internationals, and let them use PSL as a way to establish themselves. PSL could be viewed as a league of upcoming talent, instead of a poor mans IPL.

Main reason I watch PSL is for the youngsters. I think most if not all agree that more emerging talent is what is needed to make it more exciting.

Some suggestion are to make two emerging players in the playing XI, which is good but still many youngsters will not a chance, problem with this is will teams be willing to risk playing more inexperienced players, as this would decrease their chances of winning. I think better approach will be incentivize teams to add more younger pool in their teams.

Here are some of my suggestions:

1) If a youngster is selected to the national team due to PSL, the team who gave him the chance to perform should be given recognition and cash reward say of one time payment of USD 50,000. That would make teams more willing to given youngster more chances. Example Husnain from Quetta

2) If player is goes on to secure a central contract from PCB, and he is thereafter promoted to higher category in PSL, PCB should cover the difference for say 3 years, i.e PSL team pays the emerging categary amount and PCB cover the difference till platinum category for three years. PSL team can pay the entire amount to the player and PCB reimburses them, For example Shadab from Islamabad.

This is private league with private investors, if you want to make this a sustainable model, PCB need to incentivize them to invest in the youth rather than forcing their hand. With Private investors, it all about the money and ROI.

An all-star game after mid-mark of the tournament just 3 games before playoffs. 80% players chosen by fans and 20% by coaches.

They will still end up coming dead last

Karachi are just as bad as Lahore. All hype and no substance. Only difference is a couple of good individual performances scrape them into the play offs and cover up the cracks.

I know this is hard to implement but domestic players who are unlikely to represent Pakistan in the future (etc Afridi, Misbah, Sami, Sohail Tanvir etc) should not be considered for team selection. They add no value as players and are holding up a spot for newer talent.

If teams really want to use the skills of these former players than they should just hire them in the coaching staff or as consultants.

- More games in Pakistan
- Do not shorten boundaries again!
- Limit foreign players to 3 per playing 11
- Some of the Karachi pitches (the final for example) were good. More pitches with a bit of bounce and pace to reward the best fast bowlers and batsmen
- Limit unnecessary delays. Run out appeals, lbw reviews often took up too much time. Decision must be made immediately once ball tracking is ready
- Limit the # of times various sponsors are repeatedly highlighted. Too many Tapal and that oil company ‘moments’ during the game. Takes away from the fun. The commercial breaks between overs should be sufficient for advertising
- Thought Smith was one of the better commentators. Try to recruit Shane Warne, Nasser Hussain. Maybe give Rameez a rest

Nothing and no one is as bad as Lahore. Their drama queen owner is the most liked thing about the franchise and he is a pathetic cheerleader without the skirt.

Do not allow mankading as it brings down the quality of the tournament.

1. Improve pitches
2. Discard oldies
3. Discard C-grade foreign players
4. Add one more team (not from Punjab)

Agree as well . I actually made a thread about how PSL should have an all star game
