Suggestions on places to eat out in Dubai?

Hi guys I'll be visiting dubai with friends after 10 long years in the summer and we will be staying in the JBR district for a few nights

Just after some advice on places to eat out. Ideally we'd like to try out western food at mid range establishments and prices, please include dessert places

Any popular suggestions?

western food as in steakhouses or do you want French style dining?

For steaks you can try Texas roadhouse which has an outlet in dubai mall, or butcher shop at mall of emirates which is closer to jbr
JBR itself has many restaurants, mostly mid priced, some are western as well.

For dessert, you can try chocolate bar, again at mall of emirates and dubai mall, very heavy chocolates, Ice creams and desert, so heavy that they serve as a meal in their own right

If you have the money try Benihana's in Dubai, it's like the only halal one.

If you like beef burgers I would recommend a place called SALT. It on La Mer beach. Probably the best beef burgers I have had.

For dessert I like Morelli's at JBR. Their menu is quite limited compared to some places but I only ever have waffles from there. They are really soft and not dry like the ones I have had in the UK. I don't eat waffles any more unless I am in Dubai and go there.

Apart from that these places I can't really say any places I have been to really stand out but the majority of places in Dubai have a good quality of food. There are a range of places to cater for most needs at the major malls and beaches.
