This is really becoming a headache now. He was doing the same in the game against Peshawar Zalmi in the qualifier and missed his century in the last game and today again even against the part timers of WI. This is becoming a habbit now for Baber. This is not a good trait to have if you want to become a world class batsman or proper match winner. I think reason like this he will stay in the league of Williampson and not in league of AB or Kohli.

For every Baber you need at least two Fakher Zamans to win the games.

Yeah Ahmed shahzad has the same problem. It’s frustrating to watch him play these beautiful shots that go straight to the fielder over and over again.

He was just tapping the ball around because that’s what the situation required. Talat was doing the same.

It’s not his strong point but as he times the ball so well he can still
Pick up the boundaries.

Almost all his cut shots founded inner circle fielder even though he was fed few overs of a pathetic part timer. This happened last game and against Zalmi. In crunch moments things like this can decide the fate of your team.

Did I say he should launch them out of stadium? Of course big hitting is not his game but when he keeps hitting poor balls to fielders in the circle that should be boundaries then there is a need to worry.

IMHO He is very harmless. I as an opponent would not mind him facing 50+ balls, that too on a flat track and long boundaries. He would not hurt you at all.

It’s not really. Your over blowing it

The real worry is his Test form and technique. That’s the format I want him to excel most..

He’s averaging over 50 in both the limited over formats so I think our priorities should be directed where they are needed most.

I hope I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure he's going to get exposed in the next WT20 and we'll see a lot of PPers on here eating their words about his number 1 credentials.

Not saying he shouldn't be dropped but just saying against quality bowling attacks he's going to struggle until his game evolves which won't happen if he's going to remain milestone focused, thin as bones and be a mental midget against the bigger sides and/or on the big stage.

Scored a 50 against NZ in NZ.. he has the ability.

Good one day and test player but a poor T20 player.

Lol not really - he's had a hard time of tests. So far he looks like the Pakistani James Vince from the perspective of talent, batting position and stats wise at test level.

It was a good contribution and was refreshing to see him play positively after such a poor ODI series but let's not forget these were also perfect batting conditions due to the tiny grounds and ball coming on to the bat so nicely which rendered their spinners to be useless and they didn't have a full strength pace attack; those 2 rookies in Wheeler and Seth Rance bowling were actually shocking, which goes to show if all teams took T20Is seriously and played their full strength team like Pakistan does then this team would get exposed. Next world T20 WC will indicate the real progress that this team is making in the shortest format of the game.

Wastes too many deliveries. No wonder he has the lowest dot ball percentage in this decade.

Need to bring back Kamran, Umar, and Adnan.

What an absurd thread. He has a 53 AVG with a 127.49 SR. Sure, could be improve? Yeah but he is already fantastic.

Just to put it into perspective, Shoaib Malik career SR is 119.50. Hafeez is 113.79. Shehzad is 115.78. I'm not comparing to all the greats or anything but these are the types of regulars we've had on this team forever. It's so nuts people are complaining about the best batsmen Pakistan potentially have ever had.

It would be great if every batsmen could strike at 150 with a great average but its simply not realistic.
