Take Pakistan A team along for tough tours like South Africa and Australia

Looking at the way our batting is struggling any up and coming player would cherish the opportunity to have some prior experience on these tracks.

Also like last time Pakistan has had some problems with injuries and replacements if necessary will have to be flown in without any sort of opportunity to get used to the conditions.

So my suggestion is why not take your A-team along and play some A-games concurrently even if they are against low caliber teams. The captain and coach would certainly have liked it if Saud, Saad and Usman were playing a match on the side so one of them could be drafted in to replace Haris Sohail.

There is also the case of those on the bench being able to get some extra practice games while they're at it. Shaheen got to play the A-games in the UAE instead of warming the bench and it seems that helped him out. We can see the benefit of the A-team in Shan Masood this series.

The selection of the A-team will obviously have to be looked at carefully. Though having the option of playing Abid here might not have been too bad.

Just find a team where Inzamam is not selector, like Junior U-19 or U-16 and send them. Even they will not collapse like this and fight it out against a South Africa.

The T20 cup recently was a joke with low scores but even there Inzi first choice Hafeez and shoaib Malik looked below par than the domestic players.

Thinking about this again after today's disaster if Abbas was fit enough and this scheme was implemented he might have been able to get some game time before today's match. As it stands Abbas ended up playing his first ever competitive match on bouncy wickets right after an injury lay off.

The thread about how to discover another Babar Azam reminded me of this. I feel PCB should seriously look at this suggestion. In fact I think the the A-team should be with the main team for every series unless they are going for a foreign tour.

I don't know much about Pakistan domestic cricket but will be interested to know the 15 players under 25 who deserve to be in A team.Anyone over 26 year does not qualify.
