What's new

Tall talks but no promising young batsmen are given opportunites in PSL

so you justify praveen tambe's selection?

I mean they give opportunities anyone showing prospect but they don't hold on it forever. But in PSL same failure we be retained again and again.

I know PSL teams are their to win the trophy. But surely it must be discouraging and disheartening for those Pakistani batsmen that just travel and carry the drinks all tournament.

Let me give you some examples, Kushdil Shah and Nabi Gul two aggressive and bright young batting talents for the future and they’ve have hardly played in the previous season or even this one so far.

Furthermore, even Saad Ali and Saud Shakeel who atleast people know about, but even they are not given opportunities.

All the spots are taken by oversees "stars" such as salt, madison etc who i am sure some of their friends won't know they are cricketers. But these "stars" are helping the brand image of the team. Oh yes it's a private league they can select who they want. They are not gonna play any random youngsters (some) who are by country miles better then some of these "stars".

Can't believe the likes of Suad, Zafar etc he to sit on the bench due to dwaye smith and samit patel.

Guys it gets soooo tiring talking about our not so talended youngsters when in actuality they are tuk tuk wonders. I have not seen one batsmen who looked easy on the eyes. For your information every time has net sessions and in there these youngsters also take part and so if they were half as decent as other players they would earn a spot. Unfortunately they are not as good as you are imagining them to be and while our hopes of 140+ kph bowlers have been dashed, these pathetic batsmen will remain world beaters in your eyes until the last match where teams experiment.

Guys, watch out for Nabi Gul if he gets a chance. Best young aggressive batting talent in Pakistan. Big hitter especially against spinners.

The tournament is on half way with no single emerging batsman given chances by any franchise. But they gave consistent chances to Kamran, Butt....

I think two emerging U23 player rule should be established , one merging batsmen and one bowler should solve all this problem.

Our domestic cricket is not producing finish product (pardon my insensitivity for the lack of better term). If ppl believe that someone like Saud Shakil or any other young local batsman can come into the starting 11 of their respective franchises and start winning them matches, then i have a bridge to sell you. Non of them can do what Collin Ingram did against QG, let alone doing it consistently. Our arguably the best international batsman has failed in this tournament (by his own standards). So I don't expect this league to give us any new batsmen who can compete in the international arena.

At least Saud cannot do worse than Kamran for sure. He can at least score 20+ where Kamran can't. Also neither S Afridi, H Ali, Sadab etc were not any complete product.
