A teenage girl was stabbed to death and stuffed in a freezer in a suspected honour killing after she and her cousin were kidnapped and taken to a £1.5million home by a man they knew, it is alleged.

The 19-year-old's body was found 'stuffed in an American-style fridge freezer' at a detached property in Kingston-on-Thames, west London, on Wednesday evening.

A second woman, 21 - understood to be the dead victim's cousin - managed to escape the property after being slashed across the throat.

Funny how these 'honour crimes' just dishonour our stupid and backward communities

A family friend said: “The girls had got mixed up with a gang of guys. One wanted to marry one of the boys and her Pakistani family couldn’t take that.

So much for being a family friend

apparently she was killed being in a relationship with an Arab Muslim n she herself was from an Indian Muslim background seems like some classic misogynistic thug who thinks he can take the law into his own hands just because his so called pride is hurt.

should be sent down for a long time. She had her whole life ahead of her.

An update to this.

Man abducted, raped and cut throats of two women, trial hears
Mujahid Arshid, 33, faces multiple charges including murder and attempted murder

An “obsessed” builder abducted, raped and cut the throats of two young women, killing one and leaving her body in a freezer at a disused house, a trial has heard.

Mujahid Arshid, 33, had planned for weeks to abduct the two women, one of whom was his niece, recruiting Vincent Tappu, a labourer, to help in the abduction, the Old Bailey in London was told on Wednesday.

Arshid allegedly bundled the women into the boot of his car and took them to a house he was renovating. While there, he raped both women and attacked them with a lock knife, jurors were told.

One of the women managed to escape and raise the alarm after persuading Arshid they could be together, the court heard.

Police went to the six-bedroom house in Wimbledon, south-west London, and discovered the body of Arshid’s niece Celine Dookhran, 20, in a locked freezer in a utility room.

Arshid is accused of the abduction, rape and murder of Dookhran, and the abduction, rape, and attempted murder of the other woman, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, in July last year.

Crispin Aylett QC, prosecuting, told jurors the case was “simply horrific”.

Arshid had become “sexually fixated” on the women and concluded that if he could not have them no one else could, Aylett said.

At the time, both women had boyfriends and Dookhran had moved into Arshid’s home, having fallen out with her parents over her relationship.

The defendant had allegedly abused the other woman when she was 13 and was “beside himself with rage” that she was seeing someone else.

Aylett said: “The evidence in this case shows that, for a period of about three weeks before 19 July last year, the first defendant was planning to kidnap both young women.

“Thereafter, and it is as bizarre as it is terrible, he intended to rape them both before murdering them and disposing of their bodies. To that end he considered either putting them in acid or else concealing them in a deep freezer.”

On the evening of 18 July, Dookhran, who worked at Barclays bank in Mitcham, was under pressure to leave her boyfriend and Arshid put his plan into action, the court heard.

Wearing balaclavas and gloves, Arshid and Tappu stuffed socks into the women’s mouths and bound their hands and feet before Arshid took them to the house in Wimbledon, where Arshid had installed a chest-high freezer two days earlier.

Armed with the knife, Arshid allegedly raped each woman in turn in an upstairs bedroom. He then killed Dookhran and cut the other woman’s throat, but she managed to dupe him into believing they could still be together, jurors heard.

She was able to ring home and raise the alarm, even though she did not know where she was. After leaving with Arshid, she was taken to hospital by his brother, the court heard.

She gave police a description of the house and the officers found Dookhran’s body.

Arshid, of no fixed address, is also accused of false imprisonment and possession of a firearm with intent, as well as the earlier sexual assault and assault by penetration of the surviving woman.

Tappu, 28, of Acton, is charged with the abduction and false imprisonment of both women, and possession of a firearm with intent.

Both men deny the charges.

Some pretty poor reporting in this story. Seems the girl was neither a Pakistani - she was Indian - and neither was it an honour killing. Her killer was an obsessed uncle who had his eye on her and her friend from long back.

What a sicko? What kind of person can do that to a niece?

this is so upsetting, rest in peace to the poor girl.

I dunno what is going on in the UK but i hear new disturbing stories every few weeks, get it together!

He is also charged with raping the surviving niece several years earlier when she was 13.

What a sick *******.

This story is six months old, but there are sex crime stories which appear quite regularly. You don't have similar in Australia? I thought it was universal for the most part.

Ofcourse sex crimes are universal but we definitely don't get extreme rape/murder crimes like this very often.

It was a particularly bad one, but I'd be surprised if we get them any more in the UK than other first world countries. It's like something out of a horror story, but that in itself tells is instructive.

Where does it say the surviving girl is her niece as well?

When the incident first happened it was reported that both missing women were cousins.

Because one girl is dead she is obviously named in the press. The other victim survived but because she was a victim of sexual abuse she has anonymity and the press are not allowed to mention her name or her relationship to the killer (or her relationship to the dead girl) but reading between the lines it’s pretty obvious who this poor girl was.

Freezer body murder: Uncle jailed for Celine Dookhran rape and killing

An uncle has been jailed for life for kidnapping, raping and slitting the throat of his niece before putting her body in a deep freezer.

Mujahid Arshid, 33, was found guilty of murdering Celine Dookhran, 20, and the attempted murder of a second woman.

Arshid, who will serve at least 40 years in prison, snatched the women in July before taking them to a house in Kingston, south west London.

His co-accused, Vincent Tappu, 28, was cleared of kidnapping charges.

Both defendants were cleared of possession of a firearm with intent for allegedly using a Taser during the abduction, which took place on 19 July 2017.

Arshid, of Homefield Gardens, Mitcham, has also been convicted of sexual assault charges against the second woman between 2008 and 2010.

Members of Ms Dookhran's family shouted "yes" when the verdicts were read out.

Arshid reacted by shouting that the surviving victim had "killed them all", while Mr Tappu - in tears - thanked the jury.

The surviving victim took to the witness box to face Arshid and read her own victim impact statement.

She said "flashbacks and nightmares prevent me from moving on" and physical scarring from the attack is a "constant reminder of what Celine and I went through".

A statement from Ms Dookhran's mother Iman was read out, in which she said her daughter "fell victim to pure evil" and that "coming to terms with her death is likely to be a lifelong assignment".

"She will always be there in the darkness that surrounds us," the statement added.

Prosecutor Crispin Aylett QC said Arshid was obsessed with his niece Ms Dookhran, who worked in a bank.

Arshid spent weeks planning to abduct and kill both women in a plot that was as "bizarre as it is terrible", Mr Aylett said.

While Mr Tappu was cleared of kidnap, Mr Justice Edis said he was "satisfied" a "second man" helped with the initial abduction.

The court heard there had been unhappiness in Ms Dookhran's family about a relationship she was in and that she had been staying at a property occupied by Mr Arshid after leaving home.

The evening before the murder there had been a family meeting attended by Mr Arshid during which pressure was placed on Ms Dookhran and her boyfriend to end their association, jurors heard.

At the empty six-bedroom house in Kingston, Arshid raped both women in turn before slashing Ms Dookhran's throat in the bathroom.

'Such a psycho'

The second woman, who cannot be identified, was badly injured but managed to escape after talking Arshid round.

Speaking to police from her hospital bed, she described hearing screams and thuds as Arshid killed Ms Dookhran while she was tied to a chair downstairs.

The woman fought for her life when Arshid turned on her, cutting her throat and wrists.

She told officers: "He said: 'Now you've got 10 minutes to live and your body will shut down.' I was trying to play dead.

"He molested Celine's body while she was dead and then he molested me thinking I was dead. He's such a psycho.

"I sat up and he said: 'How have you got so much energy?' I was covered in blood from head to toe. I was swimming in it.

"I started saying things he wanted to hear - 'I love you, we can run away together, we can be happy together, we can have a family'.

"He said 'I'm not good enough for you, look what I have done'."

She told the court: "I'm not going to lie, I was scared for my life. I thought, if we get out alive, he cannot get away with this."

Arshid was arrested at a hotel in Folkestone, Kent, the morning after Ms Dookhran was killed.

Det Ch Insp Sam Price described Arshid's actions as a "sexually motivated attack of unspeakable violence and horror."

She added: "Celine's family have been forced to sit through weeks of reliving their daughter's last hours and they have done this with absolute dignity.

"Their distress has been compounded by the fact Arshid was someone they knew and trusted."

Analysis: Home Affairs Correspondent June Kelly

Mujahid Arshid has been convicted on a number of counts including sexually abusing his surviving victim a decade ago - so could he have been stopped before he became a killer?

His surviving victim alerted some members of her family to his behaviour in 2011, but her story was not accepted.

It was two years later that Arshid came on to the police radar when he was caught in an operation aimed at trapping paedophiles.

The Crown Prosecution Service wanted to bring a case, but they could not because the police failed to find Arshid's laptop.

This police investigation will now form part of a review.

It is only when that is complete that it will become clear whether a missed opportunity developed into a fatal chain of events.
