Another gormless and confused Pakistani

A Welsh Conservative election candidate has removed a showreel of her TV work from YouTube where she pretended to interview two senior sportsmen.

Natasha Asghar's video included clips of interviews with cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and footballer David Beckham.

BBC News, which recorded the Sachin Tendulkar interview in 2013, confirmed it did not give permission for its use.

She said the video was intended to practise her editing skills and not for "any wrongful purpose".

Ms Asghar is number two on the South Wales East Tory list for the 6 May Senedd election. She is the daughter of Mohammad Asghar, the Conservative MS for the same region until he died in 2020.

She told BBC Wales the video was not meant to be shown to others.

Any type of disclaimer or mentioning it in title would have saved her from this embarrassment.

Now it becomes question of integrity of professionalism on her part.

She didn't claim to have interviewed them or try to pass it off as real.

Yup. But she also didn't state that it was just an edit. While uploading in youtube, you should mention it. Be it if it's just an edited version or have some sort of endorsement. It can be taken as misleading advertisement of herself which not necessarily violates any written law but raises question about professionalism and integrity which could have been saved by just a few words.

Its only youtube, this is the sort of thing you would expect to find on youtube. Youtube is not some sort of beacon of truth and integrity, having works in progress, drafts and experiments on youtube is not a reflection of professionalism is just a handy place to store stuff.

YouTube is same social platform as twitter. If people could quote and make assumption on posts from twitter, then also in youtube, you have the same responsibility. If you want to store stuff, use Google drive. You don't need youtube and publish the videos for that.

People get sack over videos posted on youtube.
