The decade has almost come close to an end with just one year left. Let us have a look at which team have lost how many test series at home: -

For Pakistan, we are considering UAE as home.

Pakistan- 1(vs SL)
India- 1(vs Eng)
SA- 2(vs Aus, vs Eng)
Eng- 2(vs SA, vs SL)
Aus- 3(vs Eng, vs SA, vs SA)
NZ- 5(vs SA 2,vs Aus 2, vs Pak 1)
SL- 6(vs Ind 2,vs Pak1, vs Aus1, vs SA1, vs Eng1)

So, who do you think has been the team hard to lose a series to in their backyard(UAE for Pakistan) and arrange them in order over this decade?

Our record is misleading. We have lost only one series, but we have lost plenty of matches and have hardly dominated more than 1-2 series.

India have comfortably been the best home side. Their form since losing to England in 2012 has been imperious.

How would you arrange/rank all teams at home?

So, Pakistan who unfortunately have to play all their home games in the intense heat of UAE have lost only one test series and that to Sri Lanka over a decade and that too came just after the retirement of legend Khan and saviour Misbah.

No wonder, Pakistan really following the footsteps of what Imran Khan said, ie, to never lose a test series and Pakistan under their limitations have managed to succeed in doing that in UAE all through this decade except one fluke series Junaids, your take on this.

I think Pakistan has done really well not to lose more than a single home series in what is not even considered their own backyard,UAE.

Not that I disagree with your assessment fundamentally, but I believe the pitches in the UAE are more suited to Pakistan than some wickets at home. You occasionally get the odd underprepared seaming track, or even a well-prepared cricket wicket that assists fast bowlers for a day or two. On such tracks, it is not inconceivable that we could have lost a test series or two in the last decade. It used to happen in the 90s.

With regards to the ranking of teams at home :

1. India
2. South Africa
3. Australia
4. Pakistan
5. England
6. New Zealand
7. Bangladesh

It is unfortunate that Pakistan just lost two home series post Mis-You era. Things need to be changed now in Pakistan cricket.
