So, just saw a screenshot of yearly comparison for our bowlers and it's pretty much what we think:



Our fast bowling unit has become worse over the years since CT 17.

If we look on current match with afghanistan, Shadab broke the first partnership and we don't even have a bowling coach for Shadab. So, other bowlers, our main stream, they failed again to pick wickets with new ball due to alpha, beta & gamma reason, but not because of their coaching.

We need to understand & correct this issue of poor bowling with new ball, before we become zimbawe of cricket world.

Is the focus on wickets?
Or the line & length to keep economy in check?
Are we aggressive in approach?
What do we do while practicing for matches?

I see Amir struggling too much & that doesn't inspire confidence. It looks like his action need a correction factor, as he is labouring too much. He doesn't appear smooth.

On a serious note PCB needs to take drastic measures to improve domestic facilities. Jazba, Junoon aur biryani do not produce athletes....coaching, funding and infrastructure do.

We have very good bowlers. They are skilled, hungry, fit, and experienced.

Problem is they are not in rhythm and not bowling to a plan.

Sarfraz can't captain pacers while Azhar Mahmood is the worst bowling coach of all time.

This is simple to me.

When Waqar was coach, he had huge influence on the bowling.
The fast bowlers were like him, aggressive, fast and disciplined.
Unfortunately Waqar only really helped in that area and fitness. The batting stank.

I am not sure where these stats come from and obviously they will not include much of Hasnain but from what I have seen , that kid bowls consistently at 90, shaheen is consistently late 80s and hasan is consistently mid 80s to late 80s.

Thats all we need in the modern age, no one is producing the akhtars and the lees.

The problem is not pace, it is the lack of swing, conventional and reverse.

Not playing at home has damaged our cricket a lot.We should have never played our matches in UAE.England or Australia would have been a better choice.It would improved our bowling considerably.
