The best FIFA World Cup final according to you and why?

There has been many, many Fifa World Cup finals played.

2010 was tense, which seemed like drama after drama. Holland could have snatched if Robben pounced that chance.

2014 was a classic final which went into extra time. Argentina did have there chances, but could not take them. It was an enthralling match.

For me the 1974 world cup final between West Germany vs Holland. Holland took the lead, West Germany scored a penalty and then again. In the second half, it was just survival for West Germany as the Dutch kept coming again and again, attack after attack where the West German goalkeeper had to make many fantastic saves. Holland would just not give in.

I think 2014 World Cup was the best I have seen. My favorite team (Argentina) went to final.

It was a pretty competitive tournament.

Brazil vs Italy 1994.

Baggio singlehandedly carried Italy to Finals but was marked by 02 Brazilians throughout the match. This plan worked well for Brazil as a frustrated Baggio missed the last Penalty.

2006 France vs Italy. It was a great game that went all the way to penalties. The game was famous for the Zidane headbutt. Not to mention the Zidane paneka goal in a World Cup Final. What a legend.

What if Zidane did not get tossed? Who knows how the penalties would have went then.

Has to be 2006. Zidane’s headbutt alone made it so iconic.

Besides, that was easily the most star studded World Cup of all time. Legendary players all around!

1998 was a shocker,

2002 complete bore.

2010 was ok but spain were dominate,

2014, germans should have wraped it with the squad and form they had but argentina had the better chances.

2018 was another bore.

2006 world cup had so much stars-Messi, C Ronaldo, Kaka, Roberto Carlos, Argentina, Ballack, Holland, Beckham, Lampard, Gerrard, Terry, Owen, Figo, Zidane, Viera, Thuram, Henry, Totti, Buffon, Raul, Torres, Fabregas, Alonso. What a world cup!

The 2006 final was absoring and enthralling. 2010 and 2014 were tense, gripping contests which went until the end.

The 2006 final was probably the best of all time looking back, but the best one I watched live was the 2014 one. The drama of it being Messi's best chance at ever winning a World Cup, and they took the game so deep vs such a strong German side, only to have it snatched at the last minute by a fantastic goal. Fantastic final.

2006 WC. The infamous headbutt by Zidane in his last game and it had great drama and off course elite level of talent on display.
