A thread to celebrate those special moments in your life.

What happened and why was it so special?

Taking out my first girlfriend for the first time who now happens to be my wife for a pizza

I played the moody blues 'Nights in white Saturn' song in the car on our way to the pizza shop

When I got my first job back in 2006.

When I got accepted into a university and I had to work hard in one particular course in order to get in because my marks weren't up to their requirement.

In December 2015 my girlfriend messaged me on facebook that she felt the same way. I saw her in a wedding album of my cousin that she attended but I never saw her in the actual wedding merely sitting a few feet away from me. We plan to get married sometime. We have never met although I did pay a visit to her home after finding out who she was. Never met face to face.

For me, getting married to the best person I have ever known.

So far it was getting admitted to Master's program.

iA will be getting married soon so lets see if that tops it! :afridi

When i finally passed my High school(O and A levels). Took me 8 years(was suppose to take 4 years). But due to moving around from one country to another and difference in education really create problems for me

There was a time when i thought i couldnt complete high school.

Though i do feel embarrassed sometimes that when i suppose to be graduating from uni, i was graduating from high school.

But i think over those years of my little struggle i learned alot. I learned about how not to give up, and how to keep faith and move on the right track and don't look for loopholes. To fulfill these problems, my prayers become regular aswell.

SOme might laugh, but for me its getting through highschool was a big achievement. Now applying for Uni.......

When the cat we presumed to be dead returned home after 3 weeks.

I am not a big fan of you or your political leanings but since this falls outside that...

Without divulging too much about me, I went through a lot of what you did. However now I am on the path I wanted trust me, noone at this point cares or thinks whether I did so and so thing 'late'. As long as you get on the career you want or the one that is stable and decent by the time your'e entering your 30s it doesn't matter.

Too you at the moment. But thus far, being named the captain of the provincial under 19 cricket team was close to being the best moment of my life.

Not any big achievement for being best moment but yeah previous year I went to watch the match of pak vs new Zealand I really enjoyed that moment I have never experienced anything like that was soo happy and another one is when I scored 98% marks in 6th class that was another moment for me to be called as best moment

i have this fear that i wont amount to anything in life, thats how i see my life.

You will become something.

Don't worry and just work hard.

You are not the only one. I am also supposed to finish uni, but still fighting. Hope is important. Hope there is light at the end of the tunnel :P

You should not care what others around you think. At the end, it is your life and as long you are able to provide for yourself/spouse/kids that's what matters. A year or two years or even four years behind means nothing. I was like you, I moved 13 schools in 15 years :)) I have even changed careers and was behind everyone. But now I am in 30s and it doesn't matter what I did all those years back. I have had experiences that noone I know has had. Life is never predictable, there will be even more ups and downs when you start working.

There have been many in my personal life but I don't want to post those here.

However in terms of sporting achievement there is one match I would never forget. Our school was playing a 15 over hard ball match with another school and I came out as opener chasing a stiffish target of 122. I was at the nonstriking end from the start and by the end of the first over we were reduced to 2 for 3 that is 2 runs on the board and 3 wickets down. I just stood there helplessly seeing one batsman after another go back to the pavilion. We were eventually reduced to 27/5. I did my fair share of tuk tuk initially to steady the ship but then carried the bat and steered the ship home hitting some lusty blows near the end of the innings. We eventually won with 2 wickets and 4 balls to spare.

That was the pinnacle of my sporting achievement lmao.

Getting married has been the best achievement in my life. Since I got married, I have started hating less.

Getting into professional college that changed my future for good

I doubt the euphoria numbing out the hate will last for long. You have to face your demons head on, otherwise they won't go away.
:salute

Getting accepted into the Schulich School of Business. Happened today. Syed1

Pakistan winning the WT20 if that counts.

Going for Umrah.

Going to California.

Visiting Pakistan.

I have had some ok'ish moments in life for which i am thankful to God but there still hasn't come a moment which i can call an extremely satisfying one which made me really very happy (for myself).

Hope it comes soon though. Prayers needed.

Allhamdullilah it was the birth of my son.

However before that: Showing my results to the coaching teacher I got 2 As in my olevels, when he told my father the day before I wasnt even going to pass and I was responsible for my own results

It was the birth of my daughter.

I gave Azaan in her little ear when she was only a few minutes old and I saw a cute smile appear on her face after hearing my voice. Cannot describe the amount of joy and happiness at that moment. Just watching her and feeling the love that I have never felt before for anyone, to the point that I won't think for a second giving my life for her...that amazing overwhelming euphoric feeling just cannot be explained into words. I knew my life has changed forever at that moment.

Getting married last year was the #1 best moment of my life, nothing beats that. Alhamdulillah!
