Most of the dismissals were due to poking at the ball outside off stump. The quicker the pitch, the less room there is for error. Here the edges won't die before the slips.

The lack of preparation is absolutely diabolical. Not only for this tour but the lack of A teams going to Australia and SA in order to learn the best way to score on these pitches.

The Pakistani batsmen have not have idenitifed any scoring areas which makes things doubly worse.

Honestly in all my years watching cricket post 2002 I've not seen a single Pakistani batsmen who has had a control of his offstump

Inzi and Anwar were good but asides them even the other big names were fairly weak

Spot on. That is why practice covers it up a touch but cannot fully cover over the poor judgement of the line of the ball.

I would trade some home victories for making these pitches at home and performing better away.

Wrong.

It's not that they don't know where it is.

They just don't have any low-risk scoring shots to full balls outside off-stump.

I hadn't watched Salman Butt bat against a slip cordon for six years until the QEA Final, and his 125 out of 278 in the First Innings immediately reminded me that unlike any other Pakistani he can play not just a cut but also an off-drive, a square drive and a cover drive.

Apart from Babar Azam, the rest of your team only have a limp prod on the offside.

This. A very limited batting lineup.

Why do you insist on using 'your team.'

Come on man. You're so deep in by this point that you want Pakistan cricket team to win more than anyone on the forum :))

May be Asad as well, but that's it. Azhar has Zero shot making ability outside off, while Sami plays with fear.

How many Pakistani cricketers look like professional sportsmen? Forget off stump, emphasis on diet and fitness needs to be introduced at grassroots level. Gone are the days where flair can win you a game. Everyone else is working much harder now.

Just not good enough, sorry. No two ways to look at it.

Limited batsmen like Azhar, Sami, YK and to some extent Misbah and Shafiq will struggle to find a spot in the test sides of India, England, Australia and South Africa.

This lot is only good for the dead and placid pitches of UAE, even then it takes them 100 balls each to get 'set'

The current set of batsmen would make an excellent fishing team! thats how bat their cricketing ability is away from home.

Most don't have any scoring areas on these pitches.
