The Fantastic Five of Mohsin Naqvi: Who are they?

5 'Legends' have been shortlisted to take charge of 5 Domestic teams. The 5 will also be a part of the advisory to Naqvi, so lets take guesses who these 5 will be. They have to be legendary status and to some extent coaches, plus fully available with no other commitments. Lets see:

1. Saqlain Mushtaq. First name that comes to mind, probably the most vela 'legend' as well for PCB leaching. A bit like Mick Foley is to WWE.

2. Inzamam-ul-Haq. He's not doing much these days, looks like his 'conflict of interest' thing will be swept under the carpet because Naqvi wants to better the decisions made by Ashraf due to his political affiliations and rivalry to his own.

3. Misbah-ul-Haq. Cant be hired anywhere else but PCB, is Waqar's mate and always on the hunt to leach on to the PCB.

4. Mohammad Hafeez. His tweet supporting Waqar is probably an indication of him being a part of the PCB. Part of the same sort of friendship group as Waqar and Misbah. Wouldn't be surprised if he is one of the 5.

5. Azhar Ali. I guess hes a Test 'legend' having played close to 100 Tests, another one who is part of the Waqar+Misbah nexus. Decent bloke regardless.

While yes he is a part of the Misbah friends group, He's also pretty shariff and keeps to himself.

Misbah wanted Azhar Ali to lead for yours, if it was up to him, Azhar would have captained all the way till he was 40 in all formats with Misbah as chief selector and coach.

However Azhar unlike Babar and Misbah never cared for seniority, He took captaincy cause his friends wanted it, but it took him less then a year to realise that he sucks, so he stepped down willingly and wasn't forced by anyone,

Unlike Misbah who was forced to step down from coach, selector and even t20 captaincy back in 2012, sane with bobby who was forced to step down before he got it back.

Lastly, Azhar also retired after CT 2017 and he had announced his retirement as soon as Sarfi became captain, It was satfi and Mickey that wanted Azhar to stay till 2017.

Azhar Ali is pretty shariff and understands that he's just a test player and Not a good captain. You gotta give him respect for acknowledging this, Something Misbah and Babar would never ever acknowledge.

I listened to his stuff on the pavilion, he would be the only one questioning Rizwan’s pathetic T20 approach, and also his insistence to open whilst shuffling other openers to 3 and 4…the host used to shut him down every time he touched upon this subject

He speaks the truth, He's not afraid to admit his own weaknesses unlike Bobby and rizwan who view themselves as ATG's. Dude is willing to talk back and expose his friends if it means benefitting the sport.

You will then see the same people sing Babar praises once in positions of power.
