Hindsight is always 20 20. I can excuse the selection of someone who has performed in domestics. Like Shehzad. He also looked good in the warm up.

The real howlers were the rest. I don't know which is worse, a Hafeez who is apparently not going to bowl, or Wahab.

Dude I used to be Malik's biggest detractor back in the day however ever since his comeback in 2015 check his scores every time Pakistan wins a game and the % of contribution he gives in those scenarios. Malik is the least of our problems and frankly speaking he is among the few individuals left in the Playing XI that make the team completely on merit.

In an ideal world we'd have someone younger than Malik playing the exact same role however, we aren't really spoiled for choices here and I would most certainly play him at the moment. This shouldn't be even up for debate.

He should be dropped.

Azhar is a brilliant test player but he should not be playing limited overs cricket. I feel he will taint his legacy if he continues this poor performances in ODI. He should know his strength and work towards his test career.

Shehzad and Wahab are utterly useless. It is beyond my understanding why players like this keep getting selected. Wahab would get tonked around in a galli mohala cricket match let alone an international game and Shehzad can't score to save his life.

Also hafeez needs to go as well. He does not contribute anything to the team.

We all say all the right stuff on forums like these and frankly speaking the content discussed here is quoted and utilized even by the board members themselves. Why is it then that even after so much concrete evidence of the latter we still end up with such mediocrity.

I say this is nothing but nepotism and dishonesty at the highest level !!

Utter crap all 5. The only positive among 5 above is Hafeez' bowling, which he was never asked to.

We need to seriously revamp this side with fresh faces, whatever mediocre they turn out to be, we need to urgently kick out dead wood.

As for remaining matches, its clear that four of the mentioned 5 are not played, and Hafeez is played as a bowler!

Azhar did well? 38 dots of 65 deliveries.

Was a senior partner in the partnership of 30(51) with hafeez in which he scored 13(25) and raised the runrate from 8.02 to 9.85 , how does that equate to doing good?

There is a huge problem with Imad if he delivers his worst ever performance for a crunch match it shows how mentally weak he is.
Imad isn't doing a great finishing job he butchers it every time even in the Pak Cup Sohail Khan was doing great finishing and Imad was 40 off 30 whilst Sohail hit 30 off 12
He should control his weight and go back to Pakistan and learn how to spin the ball both ways.

1) Imam Automatic:

Magnificent average of 26 in the World Cup at a spectacular strike rate of 67. Wouldn't be in the team if it wasn't for his generous Chachu, who hated Fawad Alam for his mediocre strike rate (rightly so) but loves Bhateeja for the very same reason. What a hypocrite.

2) Hafeez Blessed in All Facets. A legend in his own right.

3) Sarafaraz Nihari. The epitome of fitness.

4) Imad The Dart Machine Sobers. Plumb LBW not given against Afghans. Now he'll masquerade as an all rounder for the remainder of his career, thanks to Gulbadin Naib's awesome captaincy.

5) Hassan Ali. Got to respect him for how generous he is towards the opposition. Does his best every time not to disappoint them. Top lad.

6) Asif Ali. The finisher that has not finished anything except maybe a Daig of Biryani.

7) Shoaib Malik: The legend who made the team purely based on merit: Averages 1800 with the bat in England. He should be groomed as the next captain, with Hafeez as his deputy.
