For a team which has perhaps its greatest pace bowling attack in its entire history i.e. Bhumra, Shami, Siraj, Ishant Sharma and backed by its most aggressive greatest captain in history, barring the results in Australia, this is not a stellar record.

One can make a reasonable argument that the Aussies have gone soft because of Cricket Australia being dependent on a $300 million bail out being generated by the Indian tour of 2021, the number of Australian players playing in the IPL.

South African's in contrast properly peppered the Indians with bouncers as we saw Marcojansen go after Bhumra without worrying about any IPL contract. A very horrible, weak Sri Lankan team beat South Africa 2-0 in South Africa in 2019.

The bowling is very good but this is the weakest Indian batting side I have even seen. How they could use some of their eighties boys like Gavaskar and Vengsarkar, let alone their Sachin and their Dravid.

Weird argument. Other countries don't have the million dollar plus paycheques at stake?

Didn't Kyle Jamieson got a pretty big revenue last time around? But he single handedly roasted India in WTC by picking 5-fers in both innings and also scoring a quickfire 30 in a low scoring game.

India has always been a very difficult opponent to beat at home and has never had issues beating Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka or West Indies in West Indies even before 2015. What makes his team so special from past Indian teams?

I understand you seems frustrated and has nothing better to come up with so a 2-2 in England is declared as "failed in England". First you filter it to SENA and then you filter it to SENA away. Even there, we have two test series win in Australia and one series draw in England. No team has got better results than this in that period.

This era possibly has been the best chance India had to dominate in SENA and other than Aus they haven't been able to do so. They had one of their best openers in Rohit, complemented by solid Rahul, their ATG batsman in Kohli and their best ever test WK/batsman in Pant (Especially if we consider overseas conditions), two of their ATG pacers and two of their ATG spinners.

I think this Indian side itself would have expected better then this in terms of SENA results considering the kind of potential they had as mentioned above.

Irrespective of the structure, its not often you get so many aspects of the combinations align as this Indian side of the last 5-6 years had. Not sure if it would be as easy to get the same level of balance, potential and combination in one team going forward consistently.
