There's always criticism of Indian pitches no matter what.
What is deemed acceptable is very arbitrary and is usually in accordance with what the English cricket establishment considers to be an "acceptable" pitch.
Even Ppers who don't even watch Indian cricket accuse of starting off with "7th day" pitches.
This Oval Test lasted only 213 overs including innings breaks. That's 3 overs into the 8th session of a Test match.
And yet all you could hear from Sky commentators was how this was a great pitch for cricket .
A match which barely lasts a little more than 7 sessions cannot be on a good pitch.
Why does this hypocrisy exist ?
