Wow surprised at Pollocks % which is very good even though he faded away dramatically in his final playing years particularly post 2003 WC debacle.

Yeah Pollock is so dang under-rated. Don’t forget that he has close to 4k runs @ 32+ against the top teams as well. Two tons, a couple of 90s and all up around 35 40+ knocks in there Link. Not a bad effort for a no 8/7 bat.

He was a massive hitter of the ball too at the death of an ODI innings.

Had a better bowling average than Mcgrath at one stage before he faded.

Shaun Pollock is definitely an ATG bowler across both formats..

Very informative and eye opening post.

Always knew Pollock was ridiculously underrated as a cricketer let alone bowler for his uncharismatic persona and the fact that he didn't belong to a country with a powerful lobby and media in cricket. From my experience as a cricket fan, I can safely say that he and McGrath were by far the two most threatening bowlers to face for our top order which was among the good ones back then. Pollock was a regular tormentor.

No Ambrose?

No Ambrose?

Ambrose was nearing the end of his career when i started watching cricket bro i.e., around late 1990s. McGrath and Pollock were regular tormentors. No wonder batting averages of most top players against those teams during that era reflect what i talk about. Aus, RSA were stat ruining teams for batsmen in our time.
