The order of disaster - The tragedy that Pakistan batting order is

Sure they do. They are highly overrated. They were poor against Pakistan and they have been poor today. However, they are India’s bogey team though.

and what about England who were 33 for 3?

What an absurd post.
Did you even watch the game?

I have observed a common problem here on PP. People put mindless post and take some strange pride in embarrassing themselves. Yes, Sir I not only watch the game but understand and observe it lil more than you do.

Do, you even read my OP or you trust your reflexes and post garbage without a thought.

maybe you will be able to answer

am sure now, you wouldn't disappoint me as many others posters have and answer few simple question

1. What is the PP average of Babar and Rizwan in all grounds world over??
2. Babar plays in which number in ODI's (Did you see him ever running like Jarvo)
3. IF Fakhar or any authentic opener who know how to exploit PP like briefly displayed by
Fakhar against Afgan going at a rate of 160 get out then Rizzy and Bobby can do
there routine and the score will read 37/1 however it can also read 49/1 or 55/1

Wow just Wow !! if Pakistan can score that without losing either Babar and Rizwan (Tears in my eyes)

4. You know in T20 lot's of team will look to exploit PP and they have created batsmen to do that
and Pakistan has....

5. Will Babar coming at no.3 and playing deep through the inning strengthen the weak middle order
because he is the best to play proper cricket shots and keep the scoreboard busy without taking
risk (Twinkle in my eyes)

We would have lost quick wickets in the powerplay had we gone all guns blazing, disrespecting the conditions and the opposition. Credit to Namibian bowlers, who did swing the ball in the early overs. You have to adapt and adapt they did.

No reason Pakistan cannot do this against England or Australia. We know how to play in the UAE and have done well in this tournament because of that, keeping in mind our strengths

How, IF one batsmen like fakhar play aggressively it will allow Rizwan and Babar to play their natural game. On the contrary if Pakistan is asked to bat first or chase big these two gentlemen will take risk and lose there wicket as seen on many ocassion

Try to put a little more thought before posting

Having witnessed batting of Australia, England and South africa and India in last few games. You can all
see the massive gulf in the batting powers of these Teams as compared with Pakistan.

Multiple high scoring games have been witnessed teams are looking to exploit power plays and they have middle order which can keep the momentum going. Pakistan has just one game before Semi's and Aussies have always been a very tough opponents in WC for pakistan.

I hope the management start thinking about Plan B as well before its too late

And another innings that shows how wrong the op was

Pakistan posted two 190 run games. What elese do you want?

160+ in t20 is not an easy feat.

Typical post by people who want to see pakistan lose so that they can be happy about proving something.

Had pakistan posted below 150 this op would had been bashing theam. Now they posted 190 in a world t20 game and are the only undefeated team, he has an issue with this aswell.

200 plua targets are a rare thing.

Dude, this is my thread and I am not defending but showing mirrors to the blinds.
And you walk in

Which shows how you desperately wait for pakistan to lose so that "your thread" can be proven

Still concerned about the first half of the innings.

The latter stages have been brilliant for Pakistan but there needs to be more urgency earlier in the innings.

Pakistan's powerplay numbers:

V ind 43/0
V nz 30/1
V afg 38/1
V nam 29/0
V sco 35/0

If only I had liberty to be as blind and clueless as you are I would have been jumping all over posting
my "embarrassing grasp" on the game.

I posted this thread when Pakistan won against Afgan. I don't have to bash anyone criticism is for team improvement and to show the mirror. Pakistan has a batting problem compounded by waste of PP and skewed batting order. like Fakhar being criminally wasted at no.3 when he is never comfortable starting his inning against spinners and so on.

The bare fact are there for every one to see and Pakistan batting repeat them every time. If you think they will get away against Better teams happy day dreaming.

Sometime it is okay to accept that you were wrong bro

Ok bro !! please forgive me

I would be very concerned. Those later part has come against Minnow but better teams wouldn't give them an inch. Malik would be greeted by pacers aiming at his throat as that is a well known limitation
Fakhar can't start his inning against spinners him coming at no.3 after a ordinary PP means it will not
provide any momentum to the innings.

Only pakistan takes no.3 lightly and then hafeez hit and miss walks in

There is a problem in the first 8 overs for Pak. But this is the best possible combination and order we can put up and we have done that. Our team is far from perfect. But hopefully we'll do enough to win the next 2 games.

In last game pakistan scored 40 runs in last 10 balls, if you think better teams are going to allow that.. good luck

So the strategy is, “choke the powerplay, steady the mid overs, and then hit 40 odd runs in the last 4 overs”.

Obviously the biggest problem in this strategy is that there is no plan B to score a lot of runs if we fail to set things ablaze (IF we are able to have a few good wickets saved, that is) in the last 4 overs.

This plan MUST work or else we are out.

I don’t think this is a very smart approach against Starc, Cummins, Hazlewood and Zampa.

We must try to score score quick in the starting, and if that fails, we will have the go with (plan b) and try to hit big in the last 4 overs.

And to strengthen this strategy, we must reinforce the batting line by bringing in Haider or Nawaz in place of Shadab.

Babar and Rizwan like pace on the ball. Aussie quicks are gonna provide them with that which they can manuever to the fence. Minnows lacked pace and used spinners in the circle. Not sure if Aus are gonna use a spinner barring Maxwell in Powerplay.

I expect Pak to do better in Powerplay against Aus. We do have Asif, Malik, Imad and Hassan Ali later on who can hit big. Shadab on his day too.

Let’s be honest. Other teams would kill to be in this position. Let’s go for the kill now boys.

Who knows if Shadab cuts thru the Aussie batting line like a hot knife thru the butter, but as of now, he doesn’t make it in my 11.

We need Haider or Nawaz.

The reason is very simple.
With Starc, Hazlewood, Cummins and Zampa, this is an altogether different bowling attack which is much better and could turn hell loose on us IF they bowl first.

So we must strengthen our batting line and be prepared to have a plan if we lose the toss and are put into bat first.
I doubt if these Aussie bowlers are going to let you score 40 runs in the last 4 overs. Almost impossible!

The top and middle order must score enough runs to release the pressure of scoring 40 runs in the last 4 overs. It’s not gonna happen.

Fakhar: He's poor form from the LPL is still showing, he's the most inconsistent pakistan Opener in history

Imam: Has trouble against short ball and has no boundary scoring ability, he always gets out when trying to play a shot as shown once again against Afghanistan today.

Babar : I don't understand why babar the world's best batsmen is such a walking wicket against spin

Rizwan: Good player but he's suited for t20, he needs to play at no 5.

Iftikhar: Chacha can't read legspin, it's time to depart with this 45 year old and look for new blood.

Based of today's match, we badly need Imad Waseem, Saud Shakeel, Abdullah Shafique, Tayyab Tahir and Muhammad haris in the middle order.

Muhammad haris needs to be our no 7, with either imad or Tayyab tahir at no 6

Saud needs to be our key no 4 batsmen and fakhar needs to be reminded that his postion is in danger to Abdullah is he does not perform consistently.

Tragedy Catastrophic Trauma whatever you say surely if 200 against Zim cannot be chased then better try something else
