So the strategy is, “choke the powerplay, steady the mid overs, and then hit 40 odd runs in the last 4 overs”.
Obviously the biggest problem in this strategy is that there is no plan B to score a lot of runs if we fail to set things ablaze (IF we are able to have a few good wickets saved, that is) in the last 4 overs.
This plan MUST work or else we are out.
I don’t think this is a very smart approach against Starc, Cummins, Hazlewood and Zampa.
We must try to score score quick in the starting, and if that fails, we will have the go with (plan b) and try to hit big in the last 4 overs.
And to strengthen this strategy, we must reinforce the batting line by bringing in Haider or Nawaz in place of Shadab.
