On cricinfo live commentary the were refering to Jadeja as "Sir Jadeja". This is no joke. Like it is actually a thing. Outside of desiland this is not a thing.

Ganguly is the most biased commentator out there. I have no problem with rest of Indian commentators. Ganguly is so cringeworthy.

Their bias sky rockets every time Rishabh Pant comes to bat. Pandya’s finishing ability is not much better than Mahmadullah or Braithwaite, yet the amount of praises he gets is out of this world.

They purposefully put those commentators on air in the final stages of the games whose teams are involved. You won't see many neutral commentators put on air at that time. They probably do that so that emotions come out in commentary. It's not biasness. I thought Ian Smith was fantastic today at the end. Ganguly's monotone style is probably not suited for commentary but I didn't find anything wrong in his commentary at the end.

20 plus years ago the commies in the box were not always the best ex players Some had only played cricket to a very poor standard

They were mainly broadcasters, they had great voices and command of their language, they had an art for telling stories and were great with stats, and analysing and describing situations that were developing on the field
They were neutral, gave great insight into the game and added great vocal depth to the visuals on display and also knew when to keep quiet and let the action do the talking Less was better

There are very few of these types left now Instead we have ex players who are in the box because of their name rather than being good at their new jobs

Most are in effect cheerleaders constantly droning and rabbiting on showing bias without any vocal skills or command of the language they are speaking in

Many dont know basic information or background on the players they are talking about They offer nothing that adds to the action but noise and are a irritant to the many cricket fans watching the game

If you are working for a home channel do what you like but this is an ICC production going around the world watched by other fans. No just put a complaint to bbc. Link above. Simple. I’ve heard her before here and there but never as consistently as this World Cup and she gets worse with every outing. Today at the end of the New Zealand match Jeremy coney was in tears. Seems somebody handed him the staff rota and he saw he was to commentate alongside Isa Guha for the final again.
