I have a love hate relationship with the format.
For me the major negatives are:
> After playing the first round for almost 2 weeks, only one team doesn't qualify for the second round which is a bit crazy
> We only have 5 teams so a very limited number of younger players get a decent run in PSL
The pros for me are
> It's only 5 teams, which results in all the teams being very closely matched and you get to see some high class cricket, as we have done this season
> The chances of you getting a "dead-rubber" match are quite slim since there are such few teams and small margin for error. For instance, day before yesterday Lahore were sitting pretty on the number 2 spot & now they are struggling to qualify
> I do like the play off system & I like how every team plays each other twice which wouldnt be practical if you have too many teams since it would drag on.
What do you guys make of the format? Would you stick with this format or what more teams/franchises?
