Post anything related to fashion here - be it the new chinos that took your breath away, or the stylish sunglasses that really caught your eye.

Tip others, reveal your fashion inspirations from Instagram and YouTube, and keep everyone up-to-date.

:sarf

I will start: my favourites on YouTube.

alpha m., Teachingmensfashion, Alex Costa - really picky about my subscribed channels and of all my followed ones, these are my favourites. Really helped to step up my fashion game.

I don't really look at youtubers for inspiration. I look at celebrities whose style I admire. Ryan Gosling, David Beckham, Daniel Craig. Leo has a lot of charisma but he isn't exactly the best dressed guy. Hate the style of most desis in Canada these days.

What do you say about the desi folk who like to make fun of the best dressed guy in the room?

Don't really have any close desi friends in Canada so I wouldn't know. It's just they all dress the same way and it's neither here nor there. Obviously not talking about all desi folk but majority of the guys

The polo shirt is criminally underused these days. If you wanna learn how to rock one, look no further than 007

Also, with the amazing shape Daniel Craig is in, in these pictures, you would think he should wear skinny pants or something but despite what kids these days will tell you, he shows that these kinds of pants also have a place in modern fashion. This isn't some Asian, Canadian expat who runs an Instagram fashion page. This is Daniel Craig

If the color of your shoes and belt do not match imma be roasting you for the rest of the night..

What is with the stubble style and how did it get so popular in the last decade. Even on tv, whether i am watching a pakistani/indian show or movie or even an american series, the leading guy has always has a stubble.

Even a lot of young guys now sport day 2-3 stubble on regular basis. Some people think that I keep stubble style although the truth is i hate this trend and the reason i frequently sport it is because am too lazy to shave everyday. But u shave it off when i have to go to dinner gatherings, hanging out on weekends and other stuff. Lot of guys younger than me don't bother

When it comes to dressing, I always lean towards the godfather series. The suit combinations of Al pacino in the first two parts are too good.

Yep, absolutely love polos. Perfect thing - not too dressy, not too casual; but of course, you can dress it up with just a little effort.

I agree. I don't experiment too much and go out of my comfort zone in regards to dressing, so I always follow this rule. :))

Wouldn't mind if the belt doean't match the shoes in a casual outfit (especially if it's a fabric belt). This isn't a hard and fast rule for casual outfits, but it is a crime to ignore it in formal dressing.

Think a few factors are involved here:

The general perception of being clean-shaved as baby-faced. :))

A decent stubble enhances the jawline and gives a pretty rad look.

And just being lazy to shave it off on a regular basis. :D

Don't really follow a particular YouTuber when it comes to fashion advice. I personally think my own fashion sense and sense of style is pretty good and I take pride in that. However, as you mentioned, Alpha M does give pretty good advice.

As far as my own set of "rules" is concerned, here's a few things I do when it comes to clothing and style:

- Never wear half sleeved dress shirts.
- Always make sure I wear slim fitted clothes. Baggy never looks good.
- Alyways shave. Under any circumstances. You want to look clean.
- Always wear a loud, designer belt. - Now, I don't mean to sound materialistic but this gives off a dominant vibe.
- Never wear normal socks.
- Always wear a wristwatch.

Yup that is pretty much the rules I follow too, except for the last one. I never was a watch kinda guy, although I get why it is important.

I never wear casual, even my family and friends say you own almost no t-shirts. I generally wear collared shirts (plain or plaid) tucked into chinos with sleeves rolled up. Sometimes I wanna go casual I'll wear jeans with those same shirts tucked out. I absolute NEVER wear half sleeves shirts under any circumstances. Those look too childish for my liking, even though I'm fairly well built. Black shoes are a big no no for me. I might be wonky in the head but whenever I see black shoes I think of them as school boy shoes. I own like 5-6 pairs of brown shoes. My favourites ones these days are:

http://www.sperry.com/en/authentic-...or=0532002#cgid=mens-uniform-approved&start=1

I can wear them casual or slightly formal occasion, and they are easily to slip on, hella comfortable and very trendy. Some peeps say I have old guy taste :sanga

I used to think so to but half sleeve button downs can certainly look good if you make sure they fit right and also how confident you are wearing them plus what kind of shape you are in. Look at this

Agreed with the boldes ones.

Yeah, it's essential to develop your own style, while also looking for solid advice and inspiration.

Just came back from Moosajees in Karachi. Getting a nice dark grey suit before I go to Canada. Just had the trial. Have a feeling it's gonna look amazing. Also bought a nice leather jacket. Any Pakistanis who live in Canada should try to get leather jackets from Pakistan. Excellent quality for the price. Lots of variety too. Good leather jackets in Canada are crazy expensive

The thing is, you are always looking to dress at your best. Replace this half-sleeved shirt with a long-sleeved shirt, with its sleeves rolled up. Boom! Instant upgrade.

designer belts like lv gucci hermes etc do not look classy

slim fit clothes are good but skinny fit does not look manly

ExpressPacer also I don't agree with the loud designer belt and plain socks point. Plain socks are never a bad idea and simple belts can often look good

exactly. loud designer stuff does not look classy

it shows that you have money but no taste

Agreed completely.

Most of the high-end brands (talking about crazy expensive here) make you pay for the name and not the quality, really. There comes a point in buying clothes when price doesn't affect the quality anymore.

Looking good is important but not as much as you guys think.

I guess that might just be me. I prefer to keep it simple and nice. Nothing OTT.

But as long as you look clean and good it doesn't matter whether you are simple or stylish.

Very few people can actually pull that off. And I know most people certainly can't. Even people who CAN pull it off look good only in certain angles. But everyone has their own opinion of what looks good, I guess.

Guys, like I mentioned in the original post, I don't mean to sound materialistic but I think a Gucci or LV belt gives a plus to your personality and image.

In Saddar cloth market you can get quality leather jackets for a steal

That's exactly me. I love wearing formal and T shirts aren't exactly what I like. I do put them on occasionally but I'd rather not. I even wear Shalwar Kameez but nothing too casual, preferably with a waist coat.

I also like wearing polo shirts (@aliasad1998). I think they look better when you tuck them in and I usually put on a P cap when I do.

And as far as wearing a watch goes, that, a bracelet I got from Versace (NOT feminine) years ago, my wallet and a pair of shades are absolute essentials.

Thanks.
aliasad1998 and guys, by the socks bit, I meant loafer socks are an absolute necessity when you put on loafers, wearing normals socks doesn't look good and you get an F in fashion for that. But yeah, I guess I worded it wrong.

True, but I give looking good a lot of importance and I personally think guys wanting to look good in seriously underrated. There's nothing feminine about wanting to look good or dressing up. In fact, you actually give off a very dominant and masculine look if you put on a good outfit.

Thanks.

Yeah, that's okay.

No-show socks are the key while wearing loafers and the likes. Can't go without socks, so it's better to find a way to hide them.

Guys, like I mentioned in the original post, I don't mean to sound materialistic but I think a Gucci or LV belt gives a plus to your personality and image.

imo it depends on your overall personality and whether you can carry it or not

most of pakistani players wear designer belts but they actually look cheap and over the top

Do you mean the Pakistani cricketers? Well, obviously they do, they're uneducated and aren't groomed enough to carry themselves properly. You can put on the world's most expensive and best clothes or some random, thrift shop clothes but the person will still look cheap if he doesn't know how to carry himself.

Take the example of Shoaib Malik, he wears designer belts but doesn't look cheap and that's because he knows how to carry himself.

Where else do you think i got it from? 6500 for an absolute beauty. Amazing quality leather. This jacket with faux leather would be for 250 dollars or more in Canada notAgainPlease A few of my dads friends came to karachi from brussels and he told them about this market. They went there and went absolutely crazy. They said this stuff is basically free

Idk man, I'd rather buy a jacket from a brand that has a reputation than one from some market in Pakistan.

I know quality when i see it and these are absolute quality. Pakistan is the best place to buy leather stuff apart from shoes maybe.

It must be just me but I think leather jackets look so tacky and for lack of a better word fobby.

#sorry not sorry

Idk man, I'd rather buy a jacket from a brand that has a reputation than one from some market in Pakistan.

These brands have a good reputation. In fact, I don't know about Karachi but in Punjab, there's a famous brand called "Leather Point" and they even give you guarantees that their jackets WILL last ...and they do. I got a jacket from there a few years ago and it's still top notch. My friend got a similar leather jacket from Armani and his is in great condition too. Only difference is mine was for around 7K while his was for around 300K rs.

Pakistan is great for buying leather jackets and other things like that at a good rate, but you would be better off trusting some well-reputed brands in terms of other clothing items.
