The right age for player to debut in International cricket is 19-21. The current notion is that especially in Pakistan the player needs to toil in domestic system for years for him to be ready for international cricket. If we used the same logic in the past, Do you think we would have ATG players like Akram, Tendulkar, Waqar, Botham, Ponting, Lara etc? People need to realize that 25 is not a young age for a cricketer and if he is making his debut at that age then the time for him to develop into an ATG is very less. Even current superstars like William, Root, Kohli, Smith, Rohit etc made their debuts at early age.
