Time to get the best out of Junaid Khan

Junaid can easily walk in the English, Indian and Australian ODI line-ups, might even make it to the Saffer side. NZ are themselves blessed with fast bowling talent so no space for him. Don't give me that typical crap that Aus have Starc, Cummins, Hazelwood, Pattinson... Their bowlers are only fit for two months a year and we saw their fast bowling prowess in the England series and tri-series.
Junaid better than Stanlake and J. Richardson? :)))

Even India have the likes of Mavi and Nagarkotti.

I wouldn't overrate Junaid to say he's the best out of our bunch of bowlers but he's certainly better than Wahab Riaz.

All the seam bowlers that you mentioned, i.e. McGrath, Asif, Philander, Hazlewood, Abbas etc. were/are very accurate bowlers, capable of bowling in the same spot all day long.

Junaid is nowhere near as accurate, and a wayward bowler who cannot swing the ball is a liability.

Yup Ishant Sharma is a way better bowler than Junaid will ever be. Tail enders will smash Junaid out of the attack 9 times out of 10. Just because he will fluke his way to some match winning performances doesn't mean he is good enough. Plus he tries to copy Umesh and Mohit Sharma. If only Pakistan had a fantastic captain like Kohli, Junaid would have been booted out of the setup by now.

Junaid is actually a very good bowler. Dont know why you are having these laughing fits. He has been superb in his comeback, was the second highest wicket taker in CT17.

For me he is the third best after Hasan and Amir.

I am not counting Shaheen though who has a very high potential.

I agree but, it was mainly his injury and post injury phase where he just couldnt get the line and length right. In CT 17 he was pretty accurate and even in the last match he has played although opposition was not strong but he was bowling good lines and lengths and manifested a good control.

He is a kind of bowler if he gets his line and length right he can make even Warner dance who is rated really highly when playing in his own backyard. It was as clueless I have seen a batsman against pace bowler. Rohit Sharma against Amir also comes close but that usually doesnt last long but Warner danced for whole over.

Yes excluding Shaheen at the moment on performance Hassan, Shinwari are Junaid are right up there. Amir has been hot and cold but whenever Shinwari and Junaid have been given an opportunity they have performed.

Junaid has the ability to make the batsman look clueless when he is getting it right and that is because of the movement he gets on the ball post pitching and batsmen have no time to adjust so late. Spell against Warner in Aus and in CT 17 making the fool out of Buttler and many others.

Junaid was the third highest wicket taker in CT 17 which was better than Starc, Rabada etc

People will keep hating, but Junaid will keep "fluking" good performances. Hey I don't mind flukes as long as he's fluking consistently:inzi

Ignore that funny music but look at some of those deliveries. He had an economy of 4.62 and avg of 19 in CT 17.

No as per resident fast bowling expert and ICC certified coach, Chief Destroyer, the wickets were cheap and due to batsman slogging.

Junaid can do better than Amir in test cricket if he can keep himself fit. His control on line and length is Abbas-esque.

Right/

A bit like Amir got his wickets in the final because Dhawan and Rohit and Kohli walking out in the first 10 overs to chase a score they have chased many times before were crumbling mentally from 'scoreboard pressure.'

Why does only Amir get credit for performing in one big match, when it counts, under pressure, blah blah and no one thinks Junaid deserves a pat on the back for doing so well throughout the entire tournament?

I think Junaid is more than serviceable; I am not excited by him, in the way that I would be by say Shaheen, but I think he must be on the bench in WC 2019. I just wish Sadaf Hussain could be too. Height and bounce, anyone?

Equal third wicket taker. In which he only took 3 top order wickets (off the top of my head)
