Steyn has only played 1 complete test in last 12 months or more.So he misses out.

Boult hasn't been impressive in last two years or so.

I might change the order a little bit if I find some other list convincing but as of now its this.

Would walk into our team and will probably bat at 7 too

Who wouldn't be able to replace Sohail Khan or Rahat Ali? He's not better than the 10 guys listed by the OP however.

Only change I would make is taking out Wagner for Riaz.

Boult

Philander
Shami
Amir
Wahab

Maybe take out Imran Khan. But I'd still put rest four over Shami

Shami is averaging under 27 this year after playing good number of test so not great but good enough to earn him top ten place.

Sad but true, none of the top 10 quicks will make it to their own country teams from a decade ago.
Steyn and Anderson are the only ones, who might have gone into there respective national teams in the 1990s, but both are now finished. I wouldn't count Morkel either. He seems on his last legs.

So I'd say this would be my ranking, based on 1) all-conditions performance 2) stats 3) fitness and longevity 4) future potential and 5) skills to take 5fers

1. Broad
2. Philander
3. Starc
4. Hazelwood
5. Abbott
6. Southee
7. Rabada
8. Shami
9. Boult
10. Wagner

Amir and Wahab's 30+ averages, warrant them being in in listed in the top 10 test bowlers in world cricket.

If I were to be brutally honest Amir does not even make the top 20.

Wahab was my personal fave in 2010, but he seems to have fogotten the patience and variety to take 5fers. If you cant take 5fers, yo wont win games. Aamir has to start from scratch. Rahat and Sohail will never last beyond a couple of seasons, Rahat most likely a poor man's Ishant -- a workhorse. I cannot comprehend how Pakistan's assembly line of pace has dried up. If Kiwis can produce a Ferguson and Milne, if Lankans throw up a Chameera, if Windies offer a Gabriel, Alzarri and Beaton, how can Pakistan forget its pace heritage? What has gone wrong? Is Sadaf still in the reckoning? Right now, not a single Pakistan seamer can make it to the Top10.

Not in order, but most pacers pick themselves for the top 10 spot right now. You can argue for 1-2 names, but these 10 will be my selection for the top 10.

Steyn
Anderson
Starc
Hazlewood
Broad
Wagner
Vern
Rabada
Boult
Southee

Amir
Starch
Steyn
Hazlewood

rest

in that order.

Sadaf isn't much better then Rahat, his performances are also starting to go downhill.

The only potential decent quicks that are around the Pakistan A/PSL set up are Ghulam Mudasser and Aamad Butt.
