Wow, didn't realise Ghandi was hated so much by some in India.
They even took teh trouble to make fake blood to drip after being shot.

Effigy burning of evil is a tradition. ghandi had his evil side.
Ghandi is seen as the father of the nation?
This is very bad and I'm glad the Indian authroities have made an arrest. Extremism should'nt be supported in any way.
Don't think shooting or burning an effigy should count as extremism. At best can be offensive, but freedom of speech and all that jazz.
ghandi is not father of nation, that title was never conferred on him, but a posthumous myth was created and the sheeple consider him their father.
In the context Ghandi was assasinated by an extremist which these people support? They are re-incating the murder to some extent. Isn't this extremism?
So how should Ghandi be seen in India?
Even though I'm not at all offended by this act of these fanatics, I'm surprised how would bhakts justify this considering some of BJP bigwigs are quite close to this lady. What a bunch of losers these people. are. Shooting an effigy of a man long gone shows how pathetic they are.
Just saw the video. Just saw the fake blood (who knows it might be real as well!) coming out of the effigy, so puke worthy. No wonder BJP wallahs are close to this lady.
extreme love for your country/religion shouldn't be clubbed under extremism. Unless you kill innocents/civilians, all forms of expression of your love towards your country and religion must be encouraged or at least tolerated.
not sure how ghandi is seen by common people i don't discuss it with the indians i meet everyday. but he is used a mascot of everything good by the political class.
