Look at the team they've sent currently
Tbh you only need 1-2 batters to click against Pakistan and it will be curtains for them. Especially on their home roads.

Pakistan bat first, score 340

One of SA’s batters realises this is a batting paradise with dew, might as well cash in and ensure my brand enhancement. Someone like Mathew Beretzkee scoring a 150+ score is very possible

If Pakistan loses to this sa team, then might as well shift the whole tournament to UAE.

Think Khushdil will be very important as a bowler tomorrow.
Well, he has no choice but be important. The guy isn’t a spinner, his role is to dart it in and build dot ball pressure. He will easily be taken down by the top 6 batters of England, India, Australia and NZ on the phattas

Think some of their batters dont have the best records against left arm spin in recent times - Conway, Chapman , Rachin. They are better against offies and wrist spin.

Left arm ‘spin’, not left arm darts

Khushdil doesn’t try to spin the ball. He has a very T20 defensive mindset where he cramps up the angles to hit around the wicket. You can easily milk him for 50+ runs in his quota and take him down for the odd 15-20+ run over too on these decks.

True. But as an allround package, he can't be worse than what Nawaz and Shadab offered in 2023.

Khushdil 100% better batting option than Shadab and Nawaz. He’s more than good enough to help you get through 4-6 overs (I wouldn’t give him full 10 over quota), and isn’t the worst option if your main bowlers are seriously under the pump in the powerplay. He can get you through.

Mitchell Santner during a media interaction:

“We had a good training session in Lahore under lights and can’t wait to take on the home side on Saturday. It is great to be back in Pakistan and the side had a good outing when we toured last time."

"The tri-nation series will provide us a great opportunity to know about the wickets and help us prepare well for the upcoming pinnacle event.”

So you are basically remembering Imad Wasim the rattlesnake

Babar should step into Saim's role, considering he's the one who taught him how to play cricket. I'm sure he can apply all the coaching he gave to saim on himself too!

Mohammad Rizwan, while addressing the press conference ahead of the first match of the Tri-Nation ODI series against New Zealand:

Team’s preparation and conditions:

"The team’s preparation is going well. The boys are focused, and we have had good training sessions. The conditions here are different, but we are adapting well. The coaching staff and management are working hard to ensure we are ready for the series."

Middle-order stability:

"Yes, we have discussed this within the team and coaching staff. We have talented players who are capable of performing under pressure. It’s all about execution on the day. The team management has been working on different combinations, and we are confident in our approach."

Playing XI selection:

"Team selection is always based on conditions and opposition. The final decision will be taken after discussions with the captain, coach, and selectors. We are considering all aspects, and the best XI will be on the field."

Leadership approach:

"It’s always an honor to lead Pakistan. My approach is simple: I believe in teamwork, communication, and playing positive cricket. The goal is to create an environment where players feel confident and can express themselves."

Role of senior players:

"Senior players always play a crucial role. Experience matters in high-pressure situations, and our senior players are guiding the younger ones. We share our knowledge and support them so they can perform with confidence."

Strike rate in T20I cricket:

"Everyone has their own opinion, but as players, we focus on what’s best for the team. T20I cricket requires a balance between aggression and stability. We play according to the match situation, and our priority is to win games, not just focus on individual stats."

Handling pressure and expectations:

"Pressure is always there in international cricket, but I see it as part of the game. I try to stay focused on my process rather than the results. Hard work, trust in Allah, and a strong mindset help me deal with pressure."

Fitness levels:

"Fitness is a key part of modern cricket, and we are working on it. The management has set clear standards, and players are following strict fitness regimes. We know that better fitness leads to better performances."

Opposition challenge:

"They are a good team and have been performing well recently. We respect them, but we focus on our own game. If we play to our strengths and execute our plans, we will get the desired results."

Message for fans:

"We always appreciate the love and support of our fans. Their prayers and encouragement mean a lot to us. We will give our best effort in the series and hope to make them proud."

There have been a few matches in Lahore where the conditions under lights have been ridiculously easy.

Sri Lanka chased 280 odd in 40 overs against Pakistan way back in 1997 . Pakistan chased 349 in 49 overs against Australia in 2022

A fairly weak Zimbabwe side scored upto 335 odd in 2015 without a fuss.

330 did not look safe when India toured in 2004 either.

It depends on the particular surface and amount of dew etc. but teams should be prepared to score up to 350/360 if put in to bat
There are only a handful of instances. That Australia match you're talking about, I believe, featured Australia's second string bowling attack.

Plus, with ICC being responsible for pitch curation, I expect the pitches to be slightly more balanced than they usually are in this part of the world.
