* Ban all Muslims - This policy will disappear - although getting visa's and going through Border Control might get a bit tougher for Muslim

* Gay Marriage - The Federal right to marriage equality will almost certainly be overturned by the Supreme Court once Trump fills the vacant Supreme Court Judge position. Most likely it will return to a situation whereby each state makes it's own laws on this matter.

* Abortion. As per above.

* N.A.T.O. - Nothing will change. The Industrial Military Complex will ensure that.

* Israel/ Palestinians. The Palestinians can forget about having their own state. And be prepared to lose as much land as Israeli settlers desire to have.

* Syria. Assad stays. Trump will make a deal with Russia. All those Western backed groups fighting the Assad regime will have no more backing from the West - only from some of the Arab states.

* Iran. .....BIG problem (all those around Bush are right-wing neocons itching to have a go at Iran). USA will find an excuse to cancel the agreement with Iran, followed later by giving Israel the green light to attack Iran's facilities - with US forces ready to step in and hep the Israeli's if Iran retaliates.
Saudi's will also be happy with that outcome.

...

Continue adding to the list. Comment if you disagree with any of above.

They will increase terrorist activity in Pakistan via their client state Afghanistan and new best buddy fascist India. Expect more false flag attacks to take out our nukes and stop CPEC.

Nothing will happen. You will still have your nukes, and we will still have ours.

The moment we stop bickering with each other and threaten war at every turn and corner while calling on these undeserving third party countries in the US, UK and others to mediate and act as sources of funds and armaments, we will get somewhere. Until then, however...

Looks like Obamacare will be dismantled, though taking away healthcare coverage from 22 million Americans will be a dangerous political move.

The Mexican wall might instead become a wooden picket fence? :))

As for deporting 11 million non-US citizen Mexicans? Where's Trump's businesses going to get cheap labour from such as building workers on new constructions, cleaners for his hotels and gardeners to keep his golf courses and resorts in pristine condition?

The Egyptian dictator Abdel Fattah el-Sisi appears to be very happy with Trumps election. And apparently Trump likes him too.
Does Trump have any hotels or golf course in any of the Egytian Red Sea or Sharm El Sheikh resorts? Not yet?

Ones to fear his views on blacks and Mexicans. Building a wall and getting Mexico to pay fir it seems like a non starter. He could start a racial war in the country between blacks and whites. His views on Muslim people are also concerning but they don't make much of the overall population.

Lol Trumpsters will be in a dilemma, build the mighty wall or invest in crumbling infrastructure that Trump promised to repair. Can't have both :))

No way in hell Mexico will be spending even a cent on that wall no matter what Trump and his ilk threatens them with

In that case he may invade Mexico:yk2.

I think some people have taken a simplistic view on what Trump meant when he said that the Mexicans will pay for the wall.

He can make mexico pay for it, my govt professor told me he could levy a tax on a products imported from mexico or even a tax on the remittances people send back to mexico.

Gaddafi may have been happy when Sarkozy was elected but that didn't stop France from invading Libya.

Assad will still have to worry about Saudis and Gulf states funding rebels. But U.S. not funding those rebels will be a big help.

Hmm true, never thought of it that way. More of an indirect way rather than direct.

Assad must be crying tears of joy.

Assad will be happy but it won't make that much difference to the outcome, he would have prevailed with Russian support anyway, the US was never going to commit to the opposition in the same manner as the Russians did to Assad with genuine military support. At best it will save the expense down the road of fighting a costly military campaign, which should be a lot easier when the opposition is isolated.

I doubt much will happen domestically. Abortion may change back a bit, but not gay marriage I think; Trump these days is ok with gays from what I understand. As a pro-life thinker myself, abortion being viewed less frivolously would probably be a good thing too.

There will be no wall with Mexico - no way. Muslims will still be allowed in.

[Foreign policy - not sure. I am fairly ignorant on foreign policy issues nowadays.]

In the end, The Donald will probably have a lot of late mornings, play a lot of golf and eat a lot of cheeseburgers. His VP will end up doing a lot of the work.

Trump is all about the image, celebrity and gravitas - he fits the fictional Herr Schindler's definition of a leader's contribution: 'not the work, never the work - the presentation'.

Yossarian GenericBrand - looks like there may be a U-turn on the "big beautiful wall".

Republicans in the House of Representatives are hoping to discuss an alternative border plan with Trump once his transition team is firmly set in place, Reuters reports.

It could prove to be the first advance that House Republicans make in defusing the quixotic rhetoric from Trump’s lengthy campaign.

On Wednesday, just a day after Trump won the White House, congressional aides told Reuters that they plan on discussing a less costly option to Trump’s grand — and expensive — wall.

Their plan includes more border fencing and increased patrol via federal agents, many of whom are a part of a labor union which backed Trump’s bid for the presidency.

A double-layered fence would hypothetically be laid across the nearly 2,000-mile border. This contrasts Trump’s vision of a tall, impenetrable, brick-and-mortar wall.

A House Republican aide and an official from the Department of Homeland Security maintained that a wall is not practical, for it would reduce visibility for those patrolling the border, and it would have to be erected on rough terrain, even bodies of water and private land.

To be fair, this new idea seems more sensible.

To be fair, this new idea seems more sensible.

More border fencing and increased patrols have been the generic solution every time this topic is brought up and it hardly ever seems to satisfy the ones that are paranoid about the Mexicans. The Trumpsters aren't going to be happy about this, they were promised a wall, a glorious wall, THEY WANT THAT WALL.

On second thought, I won't be surprised if Trump is able to sell the generic solution as something fabulous and amazing and dupe the Trumpsters into thinking this is the greatest idea ever.

Well said, other countries take advantage of our friction and we are unable to iron out any differences that occur between the two and the government on BOTH sides are at fault.

I wish that one day we can amicably come together without any threats. If that happens then no Trump or anyone else can stop us, they have their own vested interests if pakistan and India bicker.
