Cant believe this can happen over a match....

Winning Team Captain was gunned down by Opponent Team Captain, while Opponent Team Captain was beaten to death, the incident occurred in the Makhial village located in the jurisdiction of the Kallar Kahar police.

A cricket match was organised in the village on the second day of Eid. One of the teams was led by Umar Farooq, 18, and the other by Samiullah Khan, 17.

“When the team of Samiullah Khan lost the match, the winners started chanting slogans against the losers, Samiullah Khan took out a pistol and shot Umar Farooq.

He was taken to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Kallar Kahar where he died. In the meanwhile, Umar Farooq’s friends and relatives attacked Samiullah Khan with bricks, and rods and killed him.

Police registered a case against 13 people but have made no arrest. Samiullah was a student of 9th grade at the Government High School Bochal Kalan while Farooq was a student at the Government Technical College Thoha Bahadur.

The incident which took place on 2nd day of eid, left every one in the village shocked and grieving. Short Temper and minor row over a cricket game took life of two.

Hadh hi hogayi

Why was a 17 year old carrying a weapon?

Pettiness is one of the roots of evil which has hardly been highlighted. I hope justice is served here. Really disappointed to hear such news.

In our Desi culture, sometimes the winners give galis to losers by swearing at their parents and sisters. Especially if they have past rivalry. There is no humility.

Easy for teens to lose control when someone gives them maa behen cuss words. Usually fist fights happen. But pistol shooting is something new.

there is no such thing as swear at their parents and sisters.

When desi swear words are used, in 90% of the cases they are used as just expressions. No one literally means anything about it.

Problem is there is always that one fool who takes a literal meaning out of a swear word.

You dont actually literally mean it.

But this is desi society, what could one say.
