We dont have a proper spare batter in the squad other than the garbage that is Hussain Talat.

I will stick with Haris but send him at no.3. Fakhar can drop to no.4.
yes there is no use of haris down the order.. he is a slogger who can only be utilized in the powerplays.

Where are the clowns who said Pakistan won’t score 120 without Babar and Rizwan?
I was about to post the same. Some former players and blind fans who used to spread this false narrative must be crying now. The fact is Babar & Rizwan has no place in T20s. Their presence will not help the team in anyway

As i have observed over the years dot balls are their achilles heel. Apparently Rauf has boweld a madien lol You cannot allow Haris Rauf to bowl a maiden. He is conceding close to 10 an over in the last 12 months. It was a shoot out between Pakistan seamers and Afghan seamers.

To me Harris issue is not blowing his away swingers or leg cutters .. he literally bowls 3 balls .. slower, bouncer or length/ fuller … doesn’t swing or tries leg cutters

They are doing shows and are force to praise Salman now .. hahah .. kingdom has fallen

Rashid latif, dr niaz, shoiab, tanveer ahmed… all were against Salman Agha and this team.. we need to stick with this team even if they lose going ahead … they will only get stronger and better
They all are mafia and work like a propaganda machine. Yes this team shouldn't be changed even if they lose few games. I saw Shoaib Akhtar was saying 3 changes will be done before Asia cup, let's see what will happen eventually

Haris Rauf shared following thoughts in post match media interaction today:

On Match Importance and Preparation

"Whether it's a tournament or a series, it's a big deal. It's important, and as a team, I've been preparing for this and tried to execute the plans."

"We have a lot of confidence, especially since we've arrived here in Dubai."

On Playing International Matches and Pressure

"A match isn't just preparation; it's an international match, and there's always pressure. That's a given, so you can't take it easy."

"You play properly with your best XI, and you try to execute the plans you've been given."

On Team Selection and Performance

"Look, the selection committee makes these changes. That's their job and their hard work, not mine. I have no involvement in it."

"I think if we win this match, we can continue our momentum. The Asia Cup is still a little ways off, and we're trying to take it one match at a time. I'm going to work hard and try my best."

"We will play good cricket and try to win as many matches as possible for Pakistan. That's what's important for us."

On Captaincy and Team Communication

"Anyone can be the captain for Pakistan as long as they are a respectable person. In my view, any captain for Pakistan deserves the same respect as any other."

"If we respect the captain and maintain good communication with them, it will be easy for you. If a plan is given, you can execute it and deliver."

"So, the bonding with your captain should be very strong. Your messages and communication with them must be completely fair and clear."

On Coping with Conditions and Management

"We have a whole management team with us, and they are taking great care of all the players."

"It was a very good sign that our camp was set up here in Dubai, and we've been here for the last eight days. This has been a huge help in this kind of weather."

"When you go somewhere, the first thing you do is try to understand the conditions, right? We've been here for the last seven or eight days and have practiced a lot, so we're used to it now, which is a great thing."

"Management has a big role in this. They have taken great care of the players, and we've worked hard in the gym. Doing a lot of workouts during recovery is very good for you."

"After playing in this weather, your recovery is very important, and as a young player, this is exactly what you need."

On Bowling Performance and Role

"As a player, you are under the control of your captain. You have to trust yourself and trust him. Obviously, my role is to come and bowl and take wickets whenever possible."

"If you take a wicket, the opposing team goes under pressure. My effort is to take wickets whenever I come on to bowl. I try for wickets when they are needed, and you get them at the same time."

"You also give away runs at the same time. But as a player, you have to believe in yourself and back your own abilities."

Honestly Haris does nt look like a proper batter.. we do not need 200 on these tracks.. Hussain Talat can also play 15 ball 25

Afghanistan remind me alot of Pakistan's white-ball teams from the 2010s. Weak batting, good bowling...can give amazing performances on their day but most days they will lose to better teams. Also susceptible to unravelling like a house of cards under pressure.

I can still see them beating Pakistan in the next game, or the final of this series.

Afghan pacers are **** when the ball isn’t doing anything

Rashid Khan had a good game

Bowling eonomy of 6.5 was pretty decent despite being spanked for two sixes (which means he conceded just 14 runs off his other 22 deliveries), and also considering Pakistan's run rate of 9.10.

Scored 39 runs at a SR of 243 with 5 sixes. He bats quite low down the order when you have no option but to hit out, often losing your wicket in the process. Otherwise, his batting average would be much higher in T20Is.

What a schizophrenic bowling spell by Haris Rauf:

First over: 0-12
Second over: double wicket maiden
Third over: 1 wicket, 19 runs (3 sixes)
Fourth over: 5 balls, zero runs, 1 wicket

The four horsemen of the apocalypse

Guess I'll be watching this series on mute. Which is good because I've been meaning to catch up on a few podcasts.
