If he is in a medically-induced coma, he is in serious trouble.

Persistent symptoms followed by rapid deterioration is a classic presentation.
My gut feeling is he’s needing ventilatory support. It’s not something they just drop on the public.
Sorry, are you a medical professional?
Yes.
They would all come together for the national interest but that wouldn’t be in the shape of a coalition government.
Dumb people don’t become PMs and win a huge mandate.Ist very clear. Not sure what is confusing you.
In his own words he said he shook hands with EVERYONE and also said the hospital had a coronavirus patients. Everyone includes them. Dont assume PM and his adviors are some sort on intelligent people, Boris is known as the buffoon for a reason, he is a dumb af.
Apparently he's on CPAP, other sources they're preparing to intubate him. Things lookin real bad.

Medics are reporting Boris Johnson is on a CPAP machine receiving oxygen. This hasn’t been verified but it’s possible as this method offers a continued pressure of oxygen into the lungs and stops them from collapsing. If the worst happens, the PM must be considered a casualty of war and given a grand funeral - I just hope his replacement would be up to the task.
And the UK's revolving door of PMs will continue.
Across the 300-year history of the Prime Minister role, we have changed PM on average every 5 years, which I agree is quite often.
Within this mean number, curiously there have been a small group of PMs who served for a very long time (around a decade, or even longer), and then a much larger handful of PMs who served for far shorter lengths of time.
Johnson was looking like a candidate for the first group, and still might be - but sadly he might now fall into the second group.
I have a genuinely stubborn knot in the pit of my stomach about this.
Statistics show overall that when someone is admitted to an ICU with coronavirus symptoms, their chance of survival is barely greater than 50-50.

I think nobody in this government is up to it. Perhaps Sunak is. All the old statesmen like Grieve got purged. This lot are careerists with no public service ethic. Ironically Labour are at last getting their act together and look like a party of government again
According to WHO, intensive care is only required for the worst 5% of cases.
Russian news is state propaganda, after two hundred journalists got disappeared this century. They say what their government tells them.
The BBC still has some autonomy.
Rishi is a proper coconut from what little I know of himCoronavirus: Rishi Sunak will succeed Dominic Raab if foreign secretary incapacitated, says No 10
Rishi Sunak will take over prime ministerial duties if Dominic Raab is struck down by coronavirus while Boris Johnson is incapacitated, No 10 has revealed.
The order of so-called ‘designated survivor’ was revealed as Downing Street described Mr Johnson as “stable” and “in good spirits” – also disclosing he does not have pneumoniaand has still not required a ventilator

It’s a scary thought though. A PM of a country like England with every doctor and facilities at his disposal is moved to an ICU and every possible thing is being done. Just imagine the plight of the poor folk and even the middle class folk who have to wait their turn and just can’t barge into a hospital anymore.
#ClapForBoris @8pm tonight.
I will clap for him when he does something good. His sluggish response and incoherent strategy has cost thousands of British lives.

It can also be argued that his sluggish response has saved 1000s.
Not convincingly. We had a two week head start on Italy and Spain. He wasted it. He only introduced faux-lockdown after Macron threatened to close the border.
Merkel did the right thing with mass testing early on and very few Germans have died. It helps to have leaders who understand science. Johnson does not.
He is criminally negligent. Once this crisis is over he should be arrested for crimes against humanity.
I mean if deaths go beyong 20,000 what excuse will he have..so many dead and still no accountability? who are they going to blame> Moozlums? Corbyn? The Jews? Sooner or later somebody must bring this vicious tory party to account..their ideology has lead to this!
Yep. Modelling suggests we are going to be the worst hit nation in Europe. I can only hope that the Govt starts funding the NHS properly after this.

exactly, some modelling is showing up-to 60,000 dead by august..i mean just think about those numbers. Anyone of us could get this thing and be next. Yet they say clap for this guy? Imagine if some kind of terror campaign killed 800 people per day. And the PM went on holiday. What would the brits do?
Its just mind boggling how people are just nonchalantly going about things.."yeah just oldies dying blah blah"..

This guy!
We are talking about trillions of pounds being risked in the economy!! You don’t just call a complete shut down in 1 hour of seeing how things are unfolding in other countries. It doesn’t work like that! He did his best to hold it off so that he gives the cabinet enough time to work out how they need to handle this with as little damage as possible. We have been dented by millions of pounds in loss but this could have been billions if not trillions due to a sudden shut down, including mass looting and riots!
Nobody has looted or rioted across Europe under much more draconian lockdown than here. People are sensible, mainly.
The current measures are estimated to cost the Treasury £200B.
If you shut down everything straight way, it would create mass panic as it suggests that this is a measure someone is taking if there is a threat of a nuclear bomb about to go off anytime. People earning £60-100 a day to run their families losing each and every penny within a matter of seconds due to an invisible threat which they themselves feel would not even harm them.
Use your common sense here, decisions as such are not made like a movie script where things are moving fast. This government has surprisingly done the best they can with the dynamics of the country and the serious money that is being affected. They have lacked on Testing measures but besides that, they have definitely saved more lives than what they would have lost
Dumb people don’t become PMs and win a huge mandate.
George Bush, Donald Trump?
Dumb in the UK means stupid/ignorant people not that they are not sucessful.
Trump isn’t dumb. He’s very ignorant, but is also shrewd. He is good at playing on white people’s sense of entitlement and making himself look like the solution to imaginary grievances.
